Wanted Air Fliter

Went to Repco today to buy a factory / standard Air Fliter and they tell me they have bene discontinued.  Mine has seen better days.  Can anyone guide me in the right direction as to where or who sells them.  I was given a part #A1238

I got a washable foam filter from Unifilter when I was running standard carbs/airbox years ago, try them on 02 94821792. When it's dirty you just wash, re-oil then refit. They are supposed to flow better than standard filters too

There is also one regularly listed on ebay, not convenient it you want it urgently though.

another question.  did Datsun release the Z range with a stnadard 2 barrel carbie setup.  Reason i ask is the guy at Autobarn asked which carbie set up i had after pulling out a round air filter??

Correct, some market(s) got a twin-barrel down-draft (DAF?) set-up, with round filter, but I don't know which one(s). I have a w/shop manual that gives details. As did other Datsuns that used the same engine, like 240K's. All due to different or lesser emissions control requirements apparently.
