RB30X Posted October 19, 2012 Author Posted October 19, 2012 Yes it is a shame. I found myself a little depressed yesterday but also happy to take these two young fellas for a strap and show them what theyd been expecting after a 8-9hr drive. I'll only believe it when the car leaves my garage though. Quote
eddii Posted October 19, 2012 Posted October 19, 2012 Hey Tim, can I organise a time to have a look at it before it leaves Gladdy? Quote
RB30X Posted October 19, 2012 Author Posted October 19, 2012 For sure mate. How's next week sound? Quote
RB30X Posted October 23, 2012 Author Posted October 23, 2012 Hey thanks for callIng in today Charlton. It was good to finally meet you. I'll have to come and see your zed one day. Quote
eddii Posted October 23, 2012 Posted October 23, 2012 Thanks for taking me for a "spirited drive" on your beast. That was an awesome experience. Massive amount of torque + light car = HEAPS OF FUN LOL!! You're welcome to come over and have a look at my zed anytime Quote
RB30X Posted November 7, 2012 Author Posted November 7, 2012 Well it looks like the sale has fallen through. The guy has dropped off the edge of the earth. Price drop to 21K. Quote
Fairlady Z Posted November 8, 2012 Posted November 8, 2012 damn dreamers. What a cheap tough Z. Shouldn't need luck to sell Tim....but Good luck anyway. patience. is it advertised on carsales/gumtree? I had good run with gumtree lately. Quote
RB30X Posted November 8, 2012 Author Posted November 8, 2012 Yep Carsales and Gumtree. Both have had heaps of enquires and it gets 70 odd detailed views a day according to my carsales weekly report but my 'remote' location must be working against me. If you were interested and inspected the car and drove it, you'd buy it. Quote
MaygZ Posted November 8, 2012 Posted November 8, 2012 ....... but my 'remote' location must be working against me. Just a thought - maybe someone in a big city could sell it on your behalf?? Maybe someone in Brisvegas. I agree that your remoteness will deter some buyers, so I'm guessing (as it's a very good car at a very reasonable price) that it would sell very quickly in a bigger city. My 2c MaygZ Quote
RB30X Posted November 10, 2012 Author Posted November 10, 2012 Yes I agree with you 100%, but it's easier said than done. Quote
peter t Posted November 10, 2012 Posted November 10, 2012 Hi Tim, I have space in my lock up garage if you did decide to bring it to Brissie. You are more than welcome to bring it down and I will help you to sell it. I have sold a number of cars in a couple of days after just parking them in the driveway with a huge FOR SALE sign on them. It seems a lot of rev heads drive up and down my street. Would have to have full insurance etc as I don't want to be held responsible for any loss. Even though the shed is lock up I still take precautions with my Z in case anyone tries to break in and steal it. Peter T. Quote
RB30X Posted November 10, 2012 Author Posted November 10, 2012 Thanks for your offer Peter but its a lot to ask someone. It is fully insured with Shannons, but the risks involved and the time you'd have to put in to talk to dreamers while they look at it would not be worth it. Plus, I like to take people for a drive in it and put big smiles on their faces if you know what I mean, and I would not like someone else doing that in car my unless they owned it. Quote
peter t Posted November 10, 2012 Posted November 10, 2012 Thats OK mate, Will be in Gladstone again this Monday if you want to catch up. Quote
RB30X Posted November 10, 2012 Author Posted November 10, 2012 I go back to work Monday. Keep trying me it'll line up eventually. Quote
RB30X Posted November 19, 2012 Author Posted November 19, 2012 Well this zed now has a new owner. I've taken payment and it'll be dropped off at depot for transport to gold coast tomorrow. :'( Quote
PeterAllen Posted November 19, 2012 Posted November 19, 2012 Congratulations. By coincidence there is another car on the market that has your name written all over it! Quote
RB30X Posted November 19, 2012 Author Posted November 19, 2012 Funny you should say that Peter I went to have a look at a local 1600 this arv but it was waaaaay to rusty for a future project for me. Quote
PeterAllen Posted November 19, 2012 Posted November 19, 2012 Please explain? Forgot I was communicating with a Queenslander! http://www.viczcar.com/forum/index.php/topic,12005.0.html Quote
RB30X Posted November 19, 2012 Author Posted November 19, 2012 Maybe one day Peter if I ever get my own house again, with a big shed. Quote
garvice Posted November 19, 2012 Posted November 19, 2012 Don't be afraid of rust Tim, it's not very hard, 1600s are pretty flat panel wise. http://the510realm.com/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=24424 Quote
peter t Posted November 20, 2012 Posted November 20, 2012 Forgot I was communicating with a Queenslander! http://www.viczcar.com/forum/index.php/topic,12005.0.html Does this mean your car is for sale Peter A. Quote
RB30X Posted November 30, 2012 Author Posted November 30, 2012 Looks like it Peter T. Well JET240 has made it to its new owner and safe and sound. Comments after a quick drive were that acceleration is comparable to a friends Porsche GT3. Nice. Quote
