My Zed was parked at bunnings around 12ish in Ballarat when some "person" in a maroon 4WD decided to side swipe the Passenger gaurd and drive away without a care in the world... On the upside it's the first time the car has been hit (or hit) anything in the last 13 Years. Should make the local rag tomorrow.

Its always upsetting to hear when shiza happens like that... makes me think twice about road reg'ing my zed! If I do take it to carparks, I try and find the furthest one possible.. No-one likes to walk these days, so your car is always left alone.

Man I totally understand how you feel. I've had it happen twice when I used to be a student working at a video store. Those 4WD mum's dented my car twice (no note!!!). Like I had the money to fix it as a student. Still gives me rage thinking about it.

 

Then my clumsy step father didn't fasten the garage lights properly and 1 fell and left a right big scratch down the side of my Z. I was fuming to say the least. Not because it happened so much, but because it was easily preventable and it was ultimately his laziness that lead to it happening. Can you tell I'm glad I don't live at home anymore?

 

So I totally understand how you feel, what would you give to have been there when it happened and catch the person as they are driving off?

 

On the bright side, it could have been far worse and it looks fairly minor. Makes you wonder if a $40,000 restoration is worth all the bloody sweat and tears doesn't it?

Man so tempted to fit one of those exy car alarms with 360deg camera. Get the p#%ks number plate than use his head to make same damage he did to my car for not leaving a note.

 

Some ppl just shouldn't be on the road.

Sorry to hear the bad news Scoota, at least they didn't do more damage and at least you're capable of fixing it! But still a pain that you have to do all the work for someone else's mistake.

The problem with that, is it doesn't matter how far away you're parked, and how many hundred empty spaces there are around you, you are guaranteed to come back and find someone parked either side of you (and the remaining couple of hundred spaces around as empty as when you arrived).  Sheep mentality is unbelievable - and bloody annoying.

The bad thing was that it my Mrs KT driving it and she felt really bad. I've had enough time to reflect on this so Look Out for a new thread in the members projects.
