TheZFeel Posted September 10, 2009 Posted September 10, 2009 I went and took a look at the Z down my area and well the rust is way worse than i thought, its rusted everywhere and its been bogged quite a few times, its a 2+2 but couldnt tell the model. Always buy the best body Z you can afford, always! Unless you enjoy body restoration. As Craig said above you will save thousands buying a good solid base car. Quote

620Z Posted September 11, 2009 Posted September 11, 2009 Like I say a "proper" restore on a rust bucket will cost you at least 10K on parts and time. Spend another 1 to 2 thousand buying a good bodied car in the first place and you will save. Plus you will avoid the possibility of losing interest half way through like many members and losing even more money selling a half baked restore parts car. Quote

What's the thinking i am a bit miffed? I am sure if I put my 260z on the market know one out there would pay the price of say $20k+ which would be fair for a good straight Zed? Lynton Quote

Except a friend of mine has been saving for as long as I've known him and he has enough cash to buy a new R35 GTR and possibly Geroge's Zed? But the thing is, took him months to convince himself to buy a Z32 300ZX! Quote
