Stinkbug Posted June 13, 2023 Author Posted June 13, 2023 Slowly chugging along. Started the wiring today. Only need to sort out a fuel return line and exhaust now. Got the clutch sorted out thanks to Mr. Wilkins. Ended up going with a 280zx flywheel and a VL clutch. Gotta say we are lucky we have guys like him around. Intercooler all in. Sure is a tight fit. need to sort out the pcv setup. If anyone can offer any pointers ittd be much appreciated C.A.R., gav240z and OdinZ 3 Quote
pauly_adams Posted June 16, 2023 Posted June 16, 2023 if the VL clutch doesn't hold, send me a Pm i do have a spare 240mm flywheel and either of those 2 clutches would have worked with a 240mm the HDB (Heavy duty button) would hold more torque but not as nice to drive daily. Quote

Stinkbug Posted August 3, 2023 Author Posted August 3, 2023 (edited) Happy to report after chasing a terrible knocking noise that turned out to be a worn rocker my zed is now ready to roll. been on a couple of drives around the block which is 4km and somewhat resembling mt panorama I can say it goes great. Heaps of power, pretty much the same go as the v8. thanks to all who offered advice along the way. Much appreciated.
