I have a late 75 2 seater. it seems I have kdfl-08 springs in the front. They are the 240z part number. I’m trying to figure out if the kdfl-04 (260z) part number are taller and will give me the extra inch or so I need to raise the front. Confusing business this……

Hey brains trust. im looking at putting coilovers in front of my 260z. I have 55mm struts at the moment but have the opportunity to buy a pair of 51mm complete with stub axle and caliper mounts already attached. will they bolt straight in? Or is there a difference between the larger strut? thanks.

Very happy to report that I got the engine compliances today. 2 days before the emission testing exemption expired. happy days!

Happy to report after chasing a terrible knocking noise that turned out to be a worn rocker my zed is now ready to roll. been on a couple of drives around the block which is 4km and somewhat resembling mt panorama I can say it goes great. Heaps of power, pretty much the same go as the v8. thanks to all who offered advice along the way. Much appreciated. Also a big shout out to Stewart Wilkins who never failed to get me bits overnight and for the help he gave me. Top guy.

I’m about 95% of the way now. made an exhaust today and got my wideband fitted in while I was under there. tomorrow if I don’t have work I’ll wire it all in and get that bit tidied up. getting so close now to taking it for a test drive.

Got her started today. Time to tidy up all the loose ends.

It is a 240mm flywheel I just put in. Must be out of a l28et?

Slowly chugging along. Started the wiring today. Only need to sort out a fuel return line and exhaust now. Got the clutch sorted out thanks to Mr. Wilkins. Ended up going with a 280zx flywheel and a VL clutch. Gotta say we are lucky we have guys like him around. Intercooler all in. Sure is a tight fit. need to sort out the pcv setup. If anyone can offer any pointers ittd be much appreciated

Have a 260z flywheel for sale. has recently been machined and not used. Going with a 240mm setup instead 200$. Can get to Sydney or Brisbane but will need pickup from freight depot in those locations.

So you talkin maybe nsk-6052hd. Or 6052hdb?

Would a 280zx flywheel work? Or aren’t the 2+2 flywheels 240mm?

L series back where it belongs. not long now just have to sort clutch, fuel and Intercooler then wiring and hopefully it starts.

I wish I knew that earlier before I fkd around making it fit around it! Haha

Got the turbo mounted up today. computer should be here next week then I need a bunch of hoses and pipes. v8 coming out next weekend so I can start fitting everything and wiring.

Ended up getting a r34 neo turbo. only gonna run 10psi for now. I did notice you can buy rebuilds for them with new insides so I’ll prob look at that in the future if I want to wind it up a bit

Yeah good luck. I looked all over for one. If anyone has one they won’t sell it. Sss Automotive have one attached to a l20et, but they won’t seperate from the motor. He told me 850 for the whole lot. ended up making my own.

Got the fuel rail I bought from EfiHardware fitted up today along with the Ls1 injectors I bought a couple of weeks ago. Had to bore the injector holes to make em fit but it worked well. clears the thermostat housing too which I was a bit worried about.

Forgot to mention has remote oil filter setup and full exhaust will come with it.

I’m getting close to getting my new motor built so I thought I’d stick the sale up for my current engine while it’s still in the car. 4.4L alloy v8, Supra 5speed and tail shaft. complete conversion that will bolt up to standard z mounts. engine built by a professional workshop here in Tamworth. Extractors, cam, ported. Big Holley carby. looking for $5000 for the lot. The engine will be in car for a few more weeks so can take for test drive. pulls hard. Heaps of torque. Fun motor but I’m going to a l series turbo. pm if interested.

I called Mr Wilkins and he managed to dig up a set of genuine Nissan 42mm valves for me. What a guy. they are on the way now. My trigger wheel also turned up from triggerwheels.com. It’s a ring gear style one that fits perfectly on my third pulley wheel. Head will go into the shop next week for a tidy up and new valves put in. LS coils arrived and my fuel rail is being made as we speak. Hopefully will be here next week. I can get a set of ls1 injectors from a guy in a town near me which are 380ish cc. I only asked about the Subaru turbo as I had one sitting here. It’s very hard to source a turbo locally where I live so the problem is finding one someone is willing to post. Can’t find rb25 turbo here. Only an rb20. yea Gav I’m running a l26. I took the head off the other day and it does look like the block is notched slightly, but anyways I’m just going to use the 42mm valves anyways

So I’ve pulled my head off to send to the engine guy to get valves replaced, but it seems that 42mm valves are a bit hard to come by. Stewart Wilkins sells 44mm jobs. question for those knowing… . Will the 44mm valves work on my head? Or does anyone know where on earth(preferably australia) where I can get 42mm valves.

I’ll keep an eye out for a turbo as suggested. It’s just I had a forry turbo laying about doing nothing. As for power, I’d be happy with 250hp, about what my current v8 makes. redrbzed, I’ve pm u about the injectors

Thanks mate. I’ll get on the hunt. would I be right in assuming rb20/25/26 injectors are all the same physical size?
