BenZed Posted March 10, 2009 Posted March 10, 2009 New product I just got in, unlike most weld-on coilover sleeve kits on the market these come with springs AND tender springs AND spanners. Everything you see in the pic is one set, which is $299. The 51mm sleeves to suit 240Zs (front or back) come with a choice of 4kg or 5kg springs (224lb or 280lb). I can also supply other rates if needed. The top spring locator has a small 8mm hole so it can be drilled out to suit your struts. Other than that you should just need a few washers to make everything sit right. PM me if you want a set. Cheers Quote
fufu Posted March 11, 2009 Posted March 11, 2009 Im guessing this answers my question on your car thread ben. Are you using these for your car? Or is there something more advanced being engineered by HSD? Quote
BenZed Posted March 11, 2009 Author Posted March 11, 2009 Yes I'm going to fit these to my car, but we may still make a complete kit. Quote
pauly_adams Posted March 11, 2009 Posted March 11, 2009 is there any discount for a set of 4 . cheers pauly Quote
luke_mcmahon85 Posted March 11, 2009 Posted March 11, 2009 good value.. do HSD have any struts to suit? Quote
nizm0zed Posted March 11, 2009 Posted March 11, 2009 damn yea!!!! gonna start putting money aside (where the missus cant find it ) Im guessing you will have reasonably constant stock? Quote
Rhino73z Posted March 11, 2009 Posted March 11, 2009 Any choices on colours for the spring perch, etc? And do you have any recommendation on spring rates if you intended to use the car from some track work? Quote
C.A.R. Posted March 11, 2009 Posted March 11, 2009 Simon, 300lbs front & 250lbs rear for a good compromise Quote
RaceBorn Posted March 11, 2009 Posted March 11, 2009 Ben, what would you recommend as an insert to make a complete kit? Also, I am putting my hand up as a possible guinea pig if you are interested Quote
BenZed Posted March 11, 2009 Author Posted March 11, 2009 any discounts for all four?? Yes I will do two sets for $500. Quote
BenZed Posted March 11, 2009 Author Posted March 11, 2009 good value.. do HSD have any struts to suit? Not yet, but I'll see what they can do Quote
BenZed Posted March 11, 2009 Author Posted March 11, 2009 damn yea!!!! gonna start putting money aside (where the missus cant find it ) Im guessing you will have reasonably constant stock? Yes, lots of them Quote
BenZed Posted March 11, 2009 Author Posted March 11, 2009 Any choices on colours for the spring perch, etc? And do you have any recommendation on spring rates if you intended to use the car from some track work? Sorry, only red. Other springs come in steps of 1kg/mm. 6kg = 336lb, 7kg = 392lb. I would suggest 6kg front and 5kg rear for club racers. You can order different spring rates at no extra cost. Additional springs are $100 a pair. Quote

Also, I am putting my hand up as a possible guinea pig if you are interested Ben, by "guinea pig" it meant I'd like to be one of the first ones to try them out, I wasn't expecting them for free (hope that's not how you took it). Koni yellows would be suitable, if they are still available. Sorry I can't supply these but you're welcome to be one of the first to try the sleeves out. Quote
Toecutter Posted March 15, 2009 Posted March 15, 2009 I'm also inetersted, will have athink about poundage and get back to you Ben. Cheers, Sulio Quote
pauly_adams Posted March 16, 2009 Posted March 16, 2009 i forgot to ask can you get these to fit 260z 2+2 cheers pauly Quote
C.A.R. Posted March 16, 2009 Posted March 16, 2009 i forgot to ask can you get these to fit 260z 2+2 cheers pauly No. The ID is too small. 2+2 struts are 55mm OD. Quote
BenZed Posted March 17, 2009 Author Posted March 17, 2009 if enough people are interested in the 55mm I can get a short run made of these too. Quote
pauly_adams Posted March 17, 2009 Posted March 17, 2009 if you do count me in just let me know when there in. cheers pauly Quote
nizm0zed Posted March 17, 2009 Posted March 17, 2009 just re read the thread. These wont fit the 260 struts? because they are wider? Or are the 260 2 seaters the same as the 240? sorry for my n00b questions. Quote
Mr240z Posted March 17, 2009 Posted March 17, 2009 No. The ID is too small. 2+2 struts are 55mm OD. Quote
C.A.R. Posted March 17, 2009 Posted March 17, 2009 Nizmo, just go out & measure your struts - if the strut tube has a OD of 51mm, they will fit. Quote
nizm0zed Posted March 17, 2009 Posted March 17, 2009 duh! why didnt i think of that, so simple guess i'll break out the measuing tools tomorrow...... Quote
