In need of a clean fuel tank for my 79 280zx

What's wrong with your existing tank? You can get tanks repaired at radiator repair shops usually, which involves flushing out all the crud, welding up any holes/issues and resealing the tank. Finding another tank may be a challenge and may be equally as poor condition.

full of  hard black gunge, no holes some dint to the bottom, minor rust.

Hot tank and it should be able to shift that shyte out.

I used a place in Alexandria Sydney to restore my radiator and fuel tank.

Reason I recommend repair/refurbish what you have is that you know it fits your make/model/year of car. 240z/260z tanks are different and I am not sure with the 280zx what changes happened over the years, but let's say you got another spare and then it didn't fit you'd be back at square 1.

You could try ring Lindsay Drife at Zshop or up in NSW try Stewart Wilkins. Tim Wilkins his son has bought out Warren Potter's stash of Nissan/Datsun parts. Might be a ZX tank in there!

I went to pickup tank on the weekend. they showed me what they thought was the old liner. Turns out what they thought was liner was actually the fuel residue. Ive asked them to have a go anyway ill take the risk. ill keep U informed.

Best option is to get a new tank fabricated. I have issues cleaning my tank even though NatRad had repaired cleaned and painted it. Still holds much rust inside.

Im going to go with the cleaning as it has very little rust just the fuel residue. See how it goes
