Head down to your local Bursons, Repco etc. They normally have one on the shelf.

If you get that stuck, try Genuine Nissan.

so, lesson learned? Dont shop at supercrap.

I really dont get why people go there, they are no cheaper than anywhere else, and at least 10 times dumber.

anyways, Nismo multilayer steel gaskets are availabe from nissan, ex USA, takes about 4-5 weeks to get one. around the $150 mark, plus $60 postage

Hey guys i ended up making the trip to bursons today But found they were closed on Sundays =P

so i went looking for an old Autobahn that i wasnt sure if it was still there or not, It wasn't =P But on the way i stopped in at a place called AutoOne

Id never heard of it (slap) but soon realised when walking in it was Better then super cheap :P

There was heaps of stock, And all the price/s such were marked clearly such such

I asked the fella if he had my head gasget and he looked at me funny saying I havent seen one in years But soon pointed me out a picture of the gasket in a nissan book, And called up his people and found me one in another store 10 mins away,

They only had a VRS availiable but since i needed a head and valve cover gasket and wasn't to sure about the exaust/inlet Gasket was so worked out well, Ended up pickin it up on the sport for 80 bucks, So worked out good ^^

Cheers guys Michael

F*)(*ing supersh#t why does everyone go there. they dont want to help they dont know their stuff and you look at their cars. pfff say no more they all drive shitboxes or are too young to get their licence and as such have no experiance. people that own and drive and work on their cars work at other places. and they dont have everything auto they have lots lots more (shit that breaks or doesnt do what they are suppose too).

You know its bad when you go there and get disk pads and the guy behind the counter asks you if they are hard to do or should he get a pro to do it. because he is not sure but when he brakes there is this really narly sound but it goes away when you take your foot off the brake.

I felt like telling him to ignore it but figured i didnt want the blood of someone else on my hands because his brakes failed. and watch the way they chain they product up outside every morning and pack it up at night. they dont give a shit about the product someone will buy it and then its not their problem anymore. and they shop elsewhere too.

supercheap should be boycott to stop all that money going over seas. shop at your autobarn who are their to help you or your autopro. both of whom are individually owned by someone from the community and thus keeps the money where it is. plus it keeps a family near you fed and stops people from overseas taking over everything. plus they have the stuff or can get it and all the perfonance stuff

I AM AN AUSSIE I SHOP AUSSIE.

Sorry....but I had to laugh! It doesn't surprise me one bit. Maybe they can just help you out with what sticker to slap on your door....or what isle are the air fresheners?

Posted

...isn't autobarn owned by coles/myer? well minus the myer bit now...

or did i read something wrong and therefore think your saying they are individually owned?

Posted

each autobarn store is privatly owned. sometimes one owner has a few stores but its not one big company owned by 1 guy or one other company like supercheap. so the money stays with the store and community. plus the staff  usually want to help.

i was sure when i worked at coles (for a whole 2 weeks) that autobarn was part of the group, must of just gotten confused, so thanks for the clarification.

my local one is next to an officeworks and they swapped buildings so, i figured this was confirming they were one and the same...
