wildy55 Posted January 11, 2017 Posted January 11, 2017 Hi all Looking to get a set of rims shipped from Melb to the Gold Coast. Anybody used anybody good and inexpensive? I normally use Ego but their quote was pretty exxy. Who knows what? Quote
Administrators gav240z Posted January 11, 2017 Administrators Posted January 11, 2017 Was gonna suggest e-go also lol.. Quote
daretobedifferent Posted January 11, 2017 Posted January 11, 2017 E-Go from my experience is the cheapest option. I've sold wheels and tyres and sent them via e-go for around $60. What quote are you getting with E-Go? Quote
wildy55 Posted January 11, 2017 Author Posted January 11, 2017 Ego came back with $50 per wheel or the "special price" of $235 for four... Quote
C.A.R. Posted January 11, 2017 Posted January 11, 2017 Try these guys: http://courierquotes.com.au/I recently had a head shipped from WA & the seller used that service. Freight price was very reasonable. Quote
Agno Posted January 11, 2017 Posted January 11, 2017 I used www.baggagefreight.com.au last week and it was quite reasonable... I ended up booking it to Star Track Express for about 2/3 the price of e-go. Not many companies allow depot to depot delivery like e-go does though. Quote
Administrators gav240z Posted January 11, 2017 Administrators Posted January 11, 2017 I was gonna say, depot to depot may make it significantly cheaper. Without knowing the address of sender / receiver it may be a remote area which is jacking up the price / quote. Have you tried depot to depot? Quote
Rickers Posted January 13, 2017 Posted January 13, 2017 (edited) You could try Lynden from SupaTow, he does Door-to-door services, regular trips from Gold Coast to Melbourne and I seem to remember him being very cool with moving car parts as well. He's very cheap with moving vehicles, $900~ for a bare shell with no underbody components (aka had to lift the shell on and off) and a seperate engine from Gold Coast to Bendigo (mind you he went to Melbourne before dropping the vehicles off in Bendigo). So I think he would do you a pretty good deal on moving some wheels. Also, you would be on the backload, so it'd probably be even cheaper. http://supatow.com.au Edited January 13, 2017 by Rickers Rickers 1 Quote
