Yes, Luxembourg. And I would be really surprised if anyone on this forum has ever been here :-)

But first things first, my name is Bob, I'm 37 and about 4 months ago I got myself one of my all time dream cars, a 240Z.

I was always interested in old cars, japanese cars, japanese culture,... (Owned an Toyota AE86, Toyota KE25,...) And about 15 years ago I felt the urge and the wish to own a 240Z one day. But they have always been to pricey and everytime just before going to see one, another priority showed up and the Datsun project was put on the waiting list. But in October I made the dream come true. I went and inspected a 1973 model outside of my little country. For all of you who never heard of Luxembourg, it's located in the middle of western europe, between Belgium/France/Germany. It has about 600'000 people living here and is approx. 85km long and 55km wide. And yes, you have farms bigger than our country ;)

I often wrote on my blog http://monkeymagic86.wordpress.com  "one day I will own one,...".
I do fantasize about a S30 for at least 12-15 years now. And a few months ago was the big day, I got myself a Datto. It was imported from the US to Europe in 2011. It is a 1973 model, and I love it!

Car came from Chesapeake VA. Was then imported to Belgium, and now it lives in Luxembourg.

Here is a first teaser pic with 280Z wheels while being technically inspected in order to get the car registered. But I'll start a topic about the car in the appropriate section soon.

Very nice car, I lived in Europe for 6 years, I never did get around to visiting Luxembourg but my sister did, does that count?

Monkey Magic was definitely an odd ball show, we got it here in the 80s on TV. I'm not sure if that is the origin of your username?

Hope you enjoy the site!

I'll let that count ;) Where did you live?

My username initially came from my favourite D1 driver in Japan. Ken Nomura who was nicknamed nomuken and/or monkeymagic ;) It was a few years later I found out about that show.

Bonjour! :)

Bonjour, or as we say Moien.

French isn't our mother tongue / native tongue. We speak luxembourgish even though french is our administrative/official langue. As is german.

Welcome, or as some of us Aussies say Gidday.

Nice looking car, especially like the twin stacked tailpipes

Cheers

Welcome

Love the car, but I'm really loving the size of the house garage you have !

Cheers

haha, that's not a house garage. That's just the place (here in Luxembourg) where you go to get your car technically inspected, registered,...

The car itself lives in a car shelter wich I share with 7 mates. It's smaller but still awesome. And there is always someone to chat, a helping hand or someone to drink a beer with ;)
