This 71C based gearbox has 260Z close ratio gears fitted: 1st: 2.906 2nd 1.902 3rd 1.308 4th 1.000 5th 0.865 * New brass syncro rings * All new bearings & gaskets. * All gears inspected for wear & damage - replaced where necessary. * It also has a short shift kit fitted that reduces the throw by 30% Includes modified shifter & gearbox cross-member. No throw out bearing carrier or clutch fork, but I can include these items if required for extra cost. Water-jet blasted housing available at extra cost. This gearbox will only suite a 240Z that has the vertical mounting holes in the tunnel - if it's a later '72 / '73 car this will place the shifter too far back in the tunnel. I built this hybrid box for my early 240Z, so that I could have a Close Ratio gearbox & still get the shifter to come up through the correct spot in the tunnel. It's done less then 2000kms & the oil still looks new. Only selling due to upgrading... Price: sold Located in Victoria Freight can be organized at buyers expense. Or, Is it the longer, by 50mm, VL Commo/Sylva back end, which will only require tailsjaft to be shortened? Quote
