Hi Guys,

Looking for either a 240Z, 260Z or 280Z, must be a 2 seater and manual, any condition as long as it's driveable, or at least close to. looking at spending less than $8,000.

I'm near Geelong, let me know if you have any leads on a possible whereabouts!

Cheers,

Nick

Thanks Scoota! Saw a couple in WA recently, one went for $5500, the other about $8,000. Got snapped up pretty quick,  will just have to be patient, haven't seen any cheap ones in Victoria lately.

Depends on your definition of 'driveable' - you'd be very lucky to find a 2-seater for under 8K these days, in reasonable going condition that doesn't need a lot of work. Prices for Zeds & especially 2-seaters have steadily climbed in the past few years, the usual market forces of supply & demand. Better to up your budget & find a better car in the first place that can obtain a roadworthy & really be driven.

The OP said he wants a 2-seater 240, 260 or 280Z. So S30, the first series.

Not a 280Z as in ZX, the later series. They came badged as either which is what confuses many people.

The great majority of the 280Z / 280ZX cars found in this part of the world would be 2+2.

AFAIK all the S30 280Zs were LHD, sold in North America & Europe.

There was a 240z for sale in NSW recently for $7,500 but it was gone within 24 hours and it was the exception not the rule. Good luck but you have to be willing to take a punt and buy sight unseen in cases like that.
