New member with a 240z

Hi everyone!

 

My name's Belinda and I'm another new member from Melbourne.  I've been reading the forums for a while and planning to start a 240z or 260z project once I had the space for it.  I found a rolling shell advertised last week and went to check it out the next day.  It seemed to be pretty well suited to my project, so I put a deposit on it and will be picking it up in the next week or so.  It will have to go into storage for a few months, but I'm eventually planning to drop in an RB25DET.

 

I'm sure I'll have plenty of questions for you all once I get started.

Good luck with it, from inspection there's still a bit of rust to he taken care of, out of curiosity who are you taking it to???

oh and would you  e interested in selling the carbon fibre step plates to me? I have originals if you'd like to trade?

Yeah, there's a bit of rust left underneath that needs to be taken care of.  I'm not sure yet who I'm going to take it to, so any recommendations would be appreciated.  I'll be doing as much of the work as I can myself, but rust repair is outside of my skillset.

 

I'll let you know about the step plates after I've picked up the car.

Can't vouch for anyone else, but if you want the job done 100% properly hit up Lurch.

Make sure you don't just show him the rail end, but the doors and tail light area as well (oh and left hand dogleg).
