    It has its fair share of tin worm but only two bad patches everywhere else is minor

    Found a great 260 and picked it up today. Factory manual and aircon car. Can be on the road in months not years like the yellow one.

    That makes my l26 a 76 and my l28 a 76 too, means the l28 came out of a skyline or similar i suppose.

    Picked this up today l26 p30 block e88 head with British su carbs. Period correct for my z.

    Another day of chasing datto rust lol. Rough test fit of back panel and removed the wheel well.

    got the roof frame final test fitted and checked with the hatch for fit. Time for welding. Plan is to then fit and weld the roof skin then tackle the inner guard rust one side at a time.

    More progress separated the roof skin from the frame and did some prep on the hatch hinge section.

    Damb braising grrrrrrrr it’s a bastard to unpick and have to remove all traces or the panel won’t weld back on properly. There is lots of it.

    So sorry for your loss and a fitting tribute to rename your z

    And that’s the repair panels off the spare shell, someone had braised sections so had to take structural sections with the panels to cut from the inside on a stand later.

    That’s the next job, I’ve got 12m of 25mm rhs ready. Probably should have done it before removing the rear quarter but got carried away

    Yea the whole roof is good but was worried about the integral strength of the shell if I do that

    Sort of the roof cross piece will come from the donor plus some side sections plus roof and quarter outer skins. Rest of the car is pretty good.
