    Beautiful new plush custom floor mats just arrived. And last week the reproduction luggage straps came in also. Just about all the puzzle pieces together now. Big reveal not far off.

    As always, just astonishingly beautiful work coming out of the C.A.R factory. No surprises there though. On the other hand, It makes me glad I got new doors though…that’s a LOT of work.

    New Rear hatch glass just arrived at the C.A.R headquarters. Last one in Australia. Lucky to get my hands on it. That’s all my ordered parts at destination at C.A.R. Bit of a relief to have that turn up given how hard it is to get a hold of.

    I would do what CAR recommends. At the end of the day…The guy does it for a living. He didn’t stumble upon the knowledge, he’s trialed and errored his way there. I’m not ashamed to admit that I have had some ‘different’ ideas along the way on my 240z ‘wags build’ but every time CAR puts me on the straight and narrow I am so glad he did. I hate to trust anyone in this modern world…but I trust that guy.

    Yeh I reckon AGW just buy direct through them and send it on as my order was collected from a Vic address when AGW is in qld.

    Update, just checked with AGW and I got my courier tracking number. My rear screen is already picked up and in Victoria. So they definitely had a screen and it’s not far off delivery to my restorer at CAR. Hope you managed to get one mate!

    I dealt with Rayzell. I already paid and my order says ‘dispatched’ so I don’t know if that’s on the way. Perhaps their supplier kept one or two spares from the last bulk order? Here is my order tracking:

    For a 240z, 2 seat, clear, no lines, rear hatch glass?? Because I ordered 2 weeks ago and the order has been dispatched. They informed me that they are made to order here in Aus. You are looking at about 880 delivered.

    Second batch of carpets arrived today at CAR. Now we are only a rear windscreen and some small parts from z store (all in transit) away from being parts complete. It’s a great feeling knowing that I don’t have any more parts to order to fully complete the car.

    Z carpets take 2…I just spoke to Rob at z factory and he has some carpets for me. Let’s see if we can get this last piece in place. Once they arrive, then my new rear windscreen, we are pretty much home and hosed.

    Ordered a new rear hatch windscreen as my current one had louvre rub marks etched into the glass. Should look really clean and clear with new front and rear windscreens and brand new mirrors everywhere. now I just need to track down new carpets. I ordered new carpets from all car carpets in Melbourne and they have gone quiet and are not returning any calls and are now 6 weeks overdue from their maximum timeframe parameter they gave me when ordering. And by reading the google reviews…I’m not the only one.

    Sorry all, I had to pull the trigger on that glass. Last big ticket item I had to order and couldn’t stick around. You need about 5 for a group buy to bring the price down.
