  1. Hi decoy, I have sti 3.9 diff. Is it possible to change the gearing to 4.1 or higher?
  2. Hi gongz, 260z bonnet comes with vented hood?
  3. gavin, shipping fees would be a killer.. Maybe i should invite Les Collins over to malaysia for few days like how RWB nankai does his cars lol...
  4. Thanks for the reply, Cbrjeff your engine is hardcore! I saw your post on the build. I wish i has the guts to go that route. Im using 3.9 lsd subaru diff btw. The fear i have is, if anything goes wrong with boring and porting i will have a hard time sourcing a new head/block. I wish LCR has a branch here. L engine is very scarce in Malaysia. How would the engine respone like if i just change the L24 light conrod, 83mm light pistons 275 cam? Rev? Hp? Or should i stroke to L26 with L28 crank and light rod+pistons? The price for 130mm and 133mm rods are the same anyway.
  5. Hi guys, need some advice and info on the engine. I will be overhauling the engine soon, might aswell upgrading it since its going to be all taken apart. Im losing sleep weather i should stroke it to 2.6, or stay 2.4. Its a matching engine, i dont really want to risk boring it. My question is if i use L28 crank with light conrod and piston will it still be "pig" as people claim? Or should i stay 2.4 with just new light conrods and light pistons? Read on a honda forum, on a k20- engine, 130grams less per rod equivalent to almost 5hp gain per cylinder, not sure how true is that tho. I also have a 275 cam, fujisubo header, exhaust and triples 40phh to be installed. My target is around 225-250, is it achievable? Dont really intend to swap L28 as there is alot of paperwork to be done for engine swap in my country.
  6. Hi curtis, #92 looks tempting.. Too bad im too far away.. I want it so bad!!

  14. Gareth u beat me to it Anyway i found a site explaining the difference of vicious, helical and torsen. http://www.trak-life.com/basic-introduction-helical-torsen-viscous-mechanical-limited-slip-differentials-lsd/
  15. Thanks decoy, so which type of lsd is best and how to differenciate? Suretec or torsen? I think this diff is 4.11, as the seller told me was taken from ej20 engine car. And this is what i found on a subaru forum.
  16. Found one wrx sti v8.5 differential for sale. But seller doesnt know the specs and only know it came out from a wrx sti 2.0 6 gears. I did a search on that particular car, doesnt have any info on the differential ratio or lsd. Does all wrx sti comes with stock lsd? And will this differential works for a 240z since it was for 6mt? Will attach some pictures.
  17. I'll use a 74 260z 2+2 for this rally... Slightly more space
  18. I met archie last month when he came to KL for a car event. He told me something about the classic car tax is very expensive. So even if u buy a run down 240z, the import tax is fixed. So its better to import a good condition instead of bad as the tax is the same.
  19. Hi george, im from malaysia. i know classicracer h.k. has a 240z and 240zg for sale. Owner is archie ac yiu. U can find him on facebook.

  21. Thanks pb260z! Do you mean i cant just go from stock 3.36 and bolt right in r180 3.9 without modification to the gears?
  22. Sorry for the noob question, whats the difference between r180 vs r200 and 3.9 vs 4.11 in terms of performance and advantages?
  23. Subaru sti diff 3.9 lsd fits right into a 240z body? Or need modification?
