  1. i've nothing at all i've seen one with just a small curved tab at the top http://www.carpartsmanual.com/datsun/Z-1969-1978/engine-240z-260z/radiator . shows 2 types . the option l26 presumably is for the larger l26 radiator. but the basic radiator does not show the tab https://www.jdmjunkies.ch/wordpress/2018-12-03/240z-radiator-surrounding-panel-shroud/. this looks a bit different? there's been a guy advertising on gumtree for , i'd say, 2 years looking for a metal shroud so what's with all that?
  2. hats off to all those who helped me. the root cause was not any of the items that i though eg the felt, the rollers drilling the short sashes out a little made all the difference because i was able to tilt it and all is apples no more gap i'm curious about the h30-h's manual - my one does not have this picture
  3. $70 p/up melb
  4. do you know where to get new perspex cover for the JDM headlight covers?

  9. i think that's what they're called. goes around the door pull. has a plastic and a metal bit with screw
  10. if you've got one
  11. will look at any cond
  12. i agree that the root cause is that the glass is down at the front, but the only way to re-align in is to tilt the front channel. which is what i've tried doing within the limits of the holes
  13. ok, some progress took the car to a decent mechanic here in gardenvale and he messed with it and couldn't get in any better his theory is that it needs new rollers. i had a look at the rollers and its hard to tell if they;re worn. certainly until the glass skews, they work nice and smooth looking at the design of the mechanism, i'm not convinced that exact clearance of the wheel in the channel make a difference so that leaves me 2 theories 1. the plastic slider inserts at the front of the glass are worn out. once again, its a hard to tell , but they are on the sloppy side when you jiggle them. once again, hard to tell how critical the free play is 2. the felt is the problem. it has a new set from zcardepot, which looks to be pretty good quality and made for the car. its possible that the felt is thinner then the original and that is causing the skew
  14. are you still selling those rollers? what size are they and are they an exact fit?

Hi, I still have the stuff to make them but currently very hard pressed for spare time..

I have read your post on Window problem, not sure if slightly worn rollers would cause this.. If you decide its definately the problem let me know

I generally made these for people who had broken / missing rollers and they were quite happy with the results. The rollers axle pin needs to be ground off and rewelded on afterwards. I was also making the pins as pins were found to be broken and missing on some jobs

  15. did you ever get a source for the needles? do you know what is supposed to be stock for a 240?
  16. i got a rust free hatch, but needs panel work
  17. in bf#33, where does #1 go? you can see by the photo, i think i've put it in wrong
  18. right, the adjstable bits are #1 and #3 on BF-32 that's the ones i'm fiddling with just noticed that you got to put in the roller and the outside trim on first i ll take a couple more shots
  19. hi all, spend the best part of 4 hours trying to line up the glass on the left door and just can;t get it right. it laves about 5 mm gap on the back side of the frame i worked that the main positioning piece is the guiderail at the front of the door, with the holes having plenty of adjustment. no matter if i slide it to the forward or the back position ( or any tilts in between), it either jams half way down or slides easily but leaves a gap i've checked all the bolts on the frame, the window winder rails, etc and they all seem to line up is there some sort of a trick to this? ps. i'll post a pic in the morning. for now. i better walk away from the garage before i set the whole thing on fire
  20. somebody's gone over them with wirebrush, so deep scratches all round i'm guessing i'll have to go over it with 2000 sandpaper or similar and then the polishing compound. autosol
