Ok so some of you probably saw this coming. I've pulled out the front calipers on my zed and one of the pistons is well and truly jammed on the drivers side and passenger side isn't looking much better I know I could get them serviced but if someone's got a good pair for sale that I could possibly pick up tomorrow that would be great I'm in Monbulk (would maybe even come and get them tonight if someone fairly local got back to me. Hey guys I'm after a set of wheels and tyres. Must be roadworthy. I haven't decided what wheels and tyres I want to go for and the ones on my car are stuffed so if I can get something cheap for now that would be good. Alternatively I may consider a good set of wheels at a reasonable price so let me know what ya got Joel

This kinda stuffs out of my league but to those that know my car , do I want this? And why? Fuel injected l28 and to my understanding its running the standard 280zx computer. Thanks Joel

So I finally got a chance to play with the zed for a bit today. I took all the wheels off and had a muck around with the coilovers and the zed now sits nice and level with 100mm clearance at lowest point instead of sitting on its arse and bonnet pointing to the sky. I'd still like to go a little higher on the rear but have no more adjustment , I reckon removing the 240z strut tops from the rear and fitting the standard 2+2 rears would lift it a bit, any thoughts? Anyone got some? I've also replaced the fuel hose that was on the brake booster with vaccum line. And I also identified the connection on the 5 cyl injector was faulty and cleaned all the plugs ( 5 cyl plug was fouled) and now she purrs nicely. Next I gotta fix the front brakes seizing on after a short drive. They come good once they cool down. Any thoughts? I will post photos when I work out how

As many of you know I'm the proud owner of Shan's Zed. It's got coil overs but seems too low in the back end. I've been reading his build thread which is really handy when ya buy another members project. Anyway he's put 240z front strut tops all round so I figure putting some standard rear ones back in should do the job. Let me know if ya have some? Joel

Ill need the pump aswell and 200b one will be fine I guess if it fits.

Ha ha , yeah and it broke down in Silvan so was even closer! Just a seized caliper and I reckon it's running on 5 cylinders but don't think it's anything major. Still plenty of work before its ready for rego but that's all part of the Zed journey

Well I picked up my zed last night . Took it off the trailer , did a couple of little things to it today , got a permit, got insurance all in the hope of driving it there tomorrow. Then I took it for a little drive to get some fuel Ummmm it's back on the trailer now

Well I picked up my Zed last night so thought I'd better get the build journal going. I am determined to have this zed fully registered by April 2014, why? Because if I don't set a goal it's just gonna sit in the shed like all my other projects A lot of work has been done on this car by previous owner, Shanan who has a build thread on here for the car. It's got a fuel injected l28 which needs a little sorting Coil overs fitted Rear disc brake conversion Has has a new centre console fitted Dash has been reconditioned Much of the interior has been done with only seats really needing a retrim. Many of the rubbers have been done. What needs doing. Rust needs to be repaired ( not as bad as my last zed I hope) Car will then need a respray but I'm gonna keep it the original gold as its grown on me . New wheels fitted. I havnt decided on size and style yet Seats retrimmed Electrics finished off Engine sorted out and maybe some goodies for a bit more go ( currently seems to be running on five cylinders so the extra cylinder may be all the go I need) Brakes need sorting , there's currently no hand brake and front right caliper seems to have ceased. Sounds easy, so why would I finish this project when I havnt finished any if the others? For starters I'm not gonna think about the cost And out of the many many cars I have owned I have never loved driving anything as much as a zed. So I call on everyone to push me along and I'm sure to be asking for much help along the way.

Well Im picking up my new zed tomorrow ;D ;D ;D ;D so will be bringing it to the BBQ either on a trailer or with a permit if i really pull my finger out.

Looks like a neat zed, your a week to late for me but you should bring it along to the zed Christmas BBQ you never know ya might find a buyer there. What 2 seater did you buy if you don't mind me asking?

Maybe all the Auszcar members need to form a company with the sole purpose of buying every zed that comes on the market and we park them in a big warehouse and members can just pick and choose which car they like to drive. We would need to employ security,mechanics and panelbeaters. Yep I'm tired :-\
