  3. Great idea, especially given that factory L28ET bits appear for sale on a semi regular basis. Why reinvent the wheel if you don't need to ? Just my 2 cents worth.
  4. Maybe, lots of suspicion from the olds but nothing ever proven
  5. I agree with Gav it will great to watch this rare car come to life with Paul's expert work. Lots of photo's please.
  6. Welcome It is well worth taking the time to read through the build threads. They will give you an idea of what approaches other folks have used to sourcing or repairing the required panels and parts. + 1 on starting your own build thread with pictures. Cheers PB
  7. Appears to be far more relaxed than NSW. http://www.rego.act.gov.au/licence/act-licence-types/provisional-licence Makes no mention of any vehicle restrictions
  8. Welcome, one of my mates parents had a bus in that colour back in the mid 80's seeing those photo's brought back memories of "borrowing" that car when his folks were away, too much fun. Look forward to seeing / meeting you at the Sydney meet in January. Cheers PB

  16. Hi Was a bit bored so hit Google up, Burson's do a generic kit that could be worth looking at http://www.burson.com.au/cv-steering-rack-boots-c-103_116_287.html?osCsid=614175f3d80a3b1722004255bb72bdf8
  17. Indeed it could well be an absolute bargain, I am just rather cautious with any car that seems to be a bargain. Seen too many dodgy cars over the years I have been in this car game. If it was in Sydney would probably go and have a look.
  18. Gidday Good chance that Repco or equivilant parts supplier will have something the right size. Take a sample, or at least the key measurements. Should cost way less than OEM. Worst case evilbay for about $25 Cheers PB
  19. $13,500 seems fair enough - if it is as good as the photo's suggest and nothing is hiding under that shiny paint One for all those who have been chasing a 2door for less than $15K
  20. Congrats on getting your Z. As Gilltech said the conversion is rather straightforward and the instructions and advice are available on this forum. Can you post a up a few pics of the car and may be start a thread on the conversion. Enjoy the experience. Cheers PB
  21. Good point, always a great idea to clean the battery and and earth strap connections before heading to deeper problems. Cheers PB
  22. Certainly looks nice in that photo. Need closer ones, we love detail Cheers PB
  23. Gidday, The clicking indicates that the wiring is fine. The clicking sound is the solenoid engaging or attempting to engage the primary drive of the starter. I would be looking at the starter motor itself, is the drive gear in the nose moving forward when power is applied to the solenoid ?. Try the following. 1. Apply +12V direct to starter, does the motor turn over, if yes solenoid is suspect, if no starter is suspect. Let us know what happens. Cheers
  24. They make everything look really easy. A true sign of real skill (and good film production)
  25. Awesome, have been waiting for it, better put the jug on.
