Just wondering if anybody has any experience fitting new felt strips and out seals "attached to the chrome strip" on there drivers and passenger windows. Thanks to rare spares who assured me they would fit both items dont, and not even close. Seems the rubber stripped is also attached the the chrome outside edging with staples, and idea's on how to fit new ones? Thanks

Hi, just read this on a new website, a guy used his 20yr daughter to help sell his 77 datsun on ebay in the US. Great parenting http://www.carsguide.com.au/pics/dad-uses-lingerie-shots-of-daughter-to-sell-car/4184/1/72456/

Hey guys, have a look at this 260z on gumtree. Whats with the motor http://m.gumtree.com.au/1977-260z-project/v?adId=1008958761#260z -
I'm basing my build on the orange zed that you posted. Mines Porsche gt3 orange with satin gray flairs, spoiler, bonnet vents and front spoiler. I've matched the trim stitching to the orange of the car which out being too tacky. The wheels are 17" rota rbx's in shadow chrome with polished lip.

Hi Saxon, seems like were both doing the same colour with the same car as inspiration. That orange 240z has a ZG front which is kind of different. Good luck with the build

hi dsc0y, different pillar designs, the lower pic dosnt have a pillar and use's the window as support, where as the one above has a seprate pillar which the the 1/4 windows screws too and also has a different seal design.

Hi Peter, Thanks for the call yesterday. here's the drawing of the 2 different 2+2 1/4 window designs

After hours of searching and talking to people who would didnt understand what the hell i was talking about, here's proof there are two different types of 260z 2+2 quater window assembleys a early and a later one. Any Ideas where I can get part number 2 for the newer style?

i'll be using 17" Rota RBX's with a polished lip with shadow chrome centres, seems to be the comman style

This is the grey tone I'm going to use on the flares, spoiler and front spoiler, oh and bonnet vents. It's going to be a satin grey.

While I was working with Toyota, We were at the launch of the 86 and given back ground of the about why they built it. It was never designed with top end speed in mind, it was designed for a cheap, affordable sports car that would bring the passion and fun of driving back to the average joe. If you want power theres plenty of options out there, but really as a all out package the 86 turns, stops, accelerates and carry the kids and shopping very well for under 30K in most cases and makes a awesome track car. For all the people out there who want raw power and top speed, buy a old american muscle car, these Toyota / Subaru hybrids are in a different bracket. Bit like me saying, That new hyundai is rubbish my V8 Corvette would beat it in a top speed, Not thinking that the hyundai was never designed as a speed machine, it was built for a purpose that it does very well. Its the first affordable rwd fun sports car that australia has seen in a long time.. Toyota prob wont but subaru will bring in a turbo model at some stage, but there a number of turbo kits already out for them. The delay is nothing new, Toyota will only be making 1200 units per year and subaru only 250 to 350 units.. a new hilux or prado has a waiting list if 6-8 months as of yesterday. -
Its all thanks to Zzzzed, he's done all the hard work and had to put up with me asking for updates and changing things

After all Micks hard work, She's in primer and looking great. All the rust, dents and extra holes are gone and now only weeks away from paint

Looking great with the wheels on, those flares really give the car that extra wide look. I've got the same size and style of rim as you, what size tyres are you running? Thanks c

New compliance plates or any kind of plates
Corsa224 replied to Corsa224's topic in Business Directory + Links
The REPLY - This is for the Australian issued compliance plate, not the Datsun Build Plate Chris, I have been out of town for a few days. Sorry for the delay. Yes! I have your data plate here for your Datsun. I can make you a new data plate. There are two ways to make it. 1. Stamped with a male & female stamping dies. 2. Deep acid etched Both of these methods look the same from the front of the plate, but if you were to turn the etched one over, you would see that it was not stamped from the back side. The stamped method is very expensive because we need to make the dies, and they are very time consuming. I can make it for you at a cost of $1,200.00. The acid etched data plate will cost you $285.00 + 43.75 to stamp the numbers you need + $12.00 for insured shipping and handling to Australia. -
Sorry Roberto, I'll keep an eye out for you
