marc280 replied to mikmarda's topic in Parts and Tools for Sale
If that thermostat housing is for a 280zx, I'm looking for one and would love to come and pick it up. I'm only in Kensington, so could come around tomorrow. -

I'm looking for red interior parts, combo switch and a passenger windscreen washer jet if you've got them. -
I'm after a passenger window washer jet... I'll send you a PM
-
In case anyone was looking at the diffs I've got my name on them

I'm looking for red/maroon plastic parts for 280zx that are in good condition. I'm especially after the gear shift surround. I'm also looking for the plastic covers in the door surround near the seat belt. Basically any interior plastic parts that are in good condition I'm interested! I also need a passenger window washer jet. I'm happy to pay postage on the jet a plastic parts if they are postable.

That's nuts! I can only imagine what would be said if this was filmed in Australia....

NSW: Lovells Springs for 280zx - front and rear
marc280 replied to marc280's topic in Parts and Tools for Sale
Unfortunately I didn't take any measurements while these springs were in the car. It gave it a similar ride height to the photos below. I know that may not be the biggest help, but I've realised that I never really took many photos of the car prior to pulling it apart for the engine conversion... If you're keen the Lovell's tech support could give a better estimate of the final ride height if you can let them know your current car/setup. -
Hi Guys, I've got a pair of front and rear Lovell's springs for sale. The codes for the springs are DRL-11 (lowered springs for the rear) and DFL-48 (lowered springs for the front). I contacted Lovell's technical support a while ago to ask about the spring rate for these springs, and from memory they said about the 200lb mark, so they are stiffer than stock while not being over the top. I'm still using Lovell's springs in my car now, but I've had to change the heights after completing a 1UZ engine conversion, hence the reason for these being for sale. The rear springs have a minor spot of surface rust as shown in the picture, but nothing that effects the performance/operation. If you were fussy you could paint this spot again. Price: $50 a pair or if you take both of them $80 for both. I'd prefer pickup from Kensington, NSW (Sydney), but can post if I don't get any local takers. I'd estimate that they will be about $20 a pair to ship to most capital cities, but if you want an exact quote let me know your post code.

Do you have pics of the car? From the description I could be interested....
-
I'm keen depending on dates. I haven't had a chance to meet many of the people on here in person and it would be good to meet some of you!
-
If it helps, I've used MyUS a few times and they do help to save a lot on shipping. They will collect a whole lot of parcels and deliveries together (they'll hold for 30days) and then combine them together and send in one box. If you want you can also have them take things out of boxes and pack the boxes flat into one larger box to save on the volume weight that can make it expensive. Also because they send a lot, you get really good rates.

Hi, do you have the front lower control arms available? and if so a price for them?
-
Pauly, If you end up parting it out I'd be interested in a few parts, although it looks like you're looking to move the whole car... If I only had the space around home I'd come and get it!
-
Is it a targa top? Also how would you rate the condition of the interior? I also have the sexy red interior but all the parts that get the sun have faded...
-
Tim has no more Zed, so spare parts have to go UPDATED

Is the fuel gauge still available?? -
As this title suggests I have a few bits that I'd like to clear out of the garage. I really just want to get them all out, but I don't like throwing perfectly good parts away, so the first person that will come and take ALL of the items can have them! The seats are a little faded in some places and some of the plastic has broken off, but for anyone with ripped or torn seats these would be a good replacement. Note, they won't have the rails on them as I'm using the rails to mount other seats in the car. The brakes are in good condition and were rebuilt before I took the car off the road a couple of years ago. Only reason I'm not using them now is that I've fitted a Hoppers Stoppers kit. All items are pickup from Roselands in Sydney

I have a set of front brake calipers from my 280zx that I no longer need as I've completed a brake upgrade. They were rebuilt a few years ago before I took my car off the road to do the engine conversion (I will be starting a thread on this soon) although they have been sitting around since then so could use a clean. The car is a series 2 model although I think the front brakes are the same for S1 and S2. I'm asking $20 but just really want to get them out of the garage and hopefully to someone that can use them! I have a speedo gear from a 280zx gearbox left over that someone can hopefully use. $5 plus postage. According to the following page the gear is for use with a 4.11 diff or it may suit other ratios if you have changed the rolling diameter of the wheels/tyres. http://www.zcarz.us/TechnicalInformationPageTransmission.htm3 The last part I have at the moment is a bush that I have left over that goes on the end of the gear shift lever. I bought two of these when I had the original gearbox and it made a big difference to the shift quality. Free if you want to come and pick it up or $5 and I'll post it to you.

love that pic at the top! that is one nice looking zed and would definitely get my attention over the Ferrari.

I would be keen for this if it was like the DIY pit lane setup that is in the link below or possibly sharing a fully setup garage if some of the details like security could be sorted. If it was just going to be a shared garage between a couple of members then I would think it would be best to keep the number of people pretty small otherwise you'd never get access to the hoist on a weekend. Any ideas on where in Sydney you would be looking to do this?

Wow, thanks for posting that link, I've just spent the last couple of hours reading part of it and that guy has some talent and has gone to a lot of trouble to write it all up. I should stop being lasy and update my build thread!

Hey, do you have the instrument cluster (speedo, tacho etc)?
