Good idea! Couple of questions, why did it need to be so tall? If it were shorter, your seats could recline that little bit further back and you would still be able to reach over it and get stuff that is sitting in the boot. Also it wouldn't stand out so much. Might as well go the whole hog and use that "storage compartment" for a nice doof doof subwoofer

Answers to your questions. 1. Yes, but highly expensive and probably would need to buy a whole roll 2. Yes, but unless this is ground out later, this is the part that will rust out first. 3. Yes and shouldn't be too much of an issue as long as the welds are not porous. I'd say make sure you put some anti spatter spray on the bits you don't want to have any weld spatter on. Even if you are just going to do little tacks. Try to get the thickest walled tubing you can get, (or match the existing tubing) to help minimize cracking due to the expansion and contraction of the stainless.

I'd say as it was your first post, it would just look like an advertisement, not a recommendation. Maybe people need to clarify if they have any affiliation with the business they are recommending? Maybe their brother or sisters boyfriend owns/runs the business and this would probably look to me as more of an advertisement than a recommendation. DAZDA, noticed in your sig you have 2 different businesses listed there. Either you got the most awesome service from them that you thought it worth spruiking them to others, or you are affiliated with them in some way or another? Either way, doesn't bother me, just an observation as to why it would seem like advertising and not recommending.

Exactly! A lot of pieces of the puzzle need to fall in place for a buyer to snap this up. It has to pretty much be exactly what they are looking for and have the coin for it. Although not classics like this car is/will be, people will also compare what else they can get for the money. a mint r33 gtr modified supra tt honda s2000 and not forgetting a 350z All those and a few more are at the price range this is.

When all is said and done, most people won't care how many hours or how much you've spent on it. This is just the way it is in the modified car world. You might be lucky and snag that buyer that is looking for exactly what you have and be willing to pay around what you are looking for but in my opinion, that is wishful thinking and wishful waiting. You need to see what others are selling for (not what they are advertised at) and base your price around that if you want a sale, or just wait it out. Saying that, I would value yours (not that I'm looking at buying, nor have I actually seen the car in the flesh) at around $17-$22k. Others will argue or disagree or get offended and that's fine, you asked "At what price would someone on the forum want it for?" And that would be my answer.

Or get the supplier to put a value under $1000 on them where possible. Or do split deliveries (but don't get them delivered at the same time) if that is possible too. Have done both options as above and both worked out fine but it's just advice given, don't take it as gospel.

I have not seen the stuff from supercreep but I can tell you that painted surfaces do take a long time to strip depending on how thick the paint/undercoat is. Unless you have one of those full on industrial blasters with a gun/nozzle that you have to hold with both hands (like a fire hose) then you have to realize that it takes some time to strip some parts. For example, I tried to blast the bumper bar brackets that had minimal paint and a rough textured finish, well that took just a couple minutes each. But just as a test, I tried blasting a piece of an old bonnet I had lying around and that took what seemed like forever to cut through to the surface.

Depends what you plan on using it on. I use the radum medium garnet to clean mill scale and paint etc off mainly mild steels. The sandblaster down the road from me uses fine garnet (on much more powerful machines). He uses glass beads on stainless steels. Remember, the abrasive will get smaller and smaller as it gets cycled through the system anyway so you will end up with it being a fine dust until it just won't cut anymore.

I remember this one when it was for sale. Took a while to get rid of her though didn't it at a pretty reasonable price I thought? It's always good to hear when someone wants to buy back/keep the car. It tells me that the seller really does appreciate the car and is not just selling to pass on any problems to the new buyer.
