  2. hi check that you have the timing light pickup facing the right way on no1 plug as they will read incorrect if they are on back to front
  3. the turbo oil pump has more pressher and volume .but it is the same pump that i run on all my motors
  4. that look like fun to me rear grip is all so good... :o
  5. deal with it i like the rants >:(make me giggle every time merry christmas lurch
  6. All we have to do is copy the race cars from the 70s and 80s BRE and the like, they all had long manifolds. We are not doing anything new guys!
  7. allso the longer manifolds can run shorter tubes with good results and short manifolds need long tubes funny that...
  8. the K&N filter with ram tube was not that good. was down on power over sock and tubes both need heat protection for best results. a plate under the manifold that extends all the way under the socks is best .
  9. the rings as in 2 or 3 are o rings that do the job on the harmonics they work at different rpm. they work a treat and are very well made
  10. one time i spent the hole day on the dyno with a l28 with 45dcoe and i try ed every combo of ram tubes to see wot would happen i was very surprised to find very little improvement. in the end i went with the long ones as it had a bit more at 3500 -4500 but it was very marginal only 4 or 5 hp between all of them . air cleaners were more important as i found some losing up to 15hp over others. also efi hardwear no there stuff they can tell you wot you need length wise
  11. it not rely you can change the pressure relief spring but there is more to it than that. i would check you gage with a master gage to make shore i have not had one with more than 65psi with normal Clarence and opperating temps
  12. to get 12.1 you will need about 15cc dome in the piston with that combo the head will be around 52 cc or there abouts so you will need more than shaving.. and ARP are the go they are the best studs on the market .they make a top set for the head and a set for the mains .and speed pro will have them in a day for you. they are grate to deal with.
  13. most race engines that i have look at have wear in these parts you need to replace them often. 30psi at 6000rpm =dead motor 60psi is needed at 6000 if you like to drive home. if you have much more than this you will damage the drive in no time look at running a lighter oil .

arrr this head will be the last datsun 6 head as they take me close to 40hours in the ports alone and then i have to set the springs and cam up the head will end up costing me more than i can charge.the same head from japan costs $5000 with cam and springs.

will give full flo results in the new year. test on inlet port showed 230cfm at28' 550lift with stock valve and ex port 155cfm on the outer ports .it will be a grate head. these figures were with standard Gide's new ones are much nicer as they are 8mm shorter and tappered
