In the last five years or so the amount of cars shows that are on over the warmer months is getting out of control. There’s nearly one every weekend. I’m more of a driver than a park and show. There’s nothing like a small group cars having a spirited drive through the hills. Then Meeting up for a chat at a bakery and being home buy lunch time. Sure, I go to a few car shows, but for me driving is where the enjoyment is. There’s alway going to be show and shine weekends.

Yep, what ever the lowest point of the sump is you need need a crossmember or rails for protection. 50mm is to low. Consider how much bump your suspension will go into when racing. And as you say, if you straddle a curb you will need at least 70mm clearance. so long as you have skid plates for protection you’ll be ok.

I’ve changed the Farthers day drive to the following Sunday due to popular demand. So I guess you have to come now. Haha.

Hey Simon, was good to see you out in the zed, to bad Blake didn’t like your driving. Maybe next months drive.

Yer Dave. The drive days are a great way of getting to know your car a bit better.

I think @Howdy on this forum might be able to help you

Ok, tomorrow’s weather is looking good for a cruise around the Yarra Valley. Lets see who turns up.

Hi guys. Just going to bump this. I already have 5 starters, but not from this forum. weather is looking good at this point. I’ve also printed a few copies of the route we’ll be taking. Should be back in Lilydale about 12.30pm. Cheers.

Most Sunday mornings I ride the push bike up to Warburton for a Coffee. And I often see groups of organised drive go passed. This morning Evos and GTRs, about eight. A few weeks ago about 20 Porsche’s . lm looking forward to our first group drive.

Hi guys. Do any of the Datsun guys run with slicks , or mostly use r-spec tires?

Hi guys, it’s been to long and far between. The first Sunday of each month at Lilydale Supercheap Auto car Park. 8.30 chat, 9.00am drive. All cars welcome, but bring your best if weather permits. i would encourage the use of CB radios and we roll with CH 16. Make sure you arrive with enough fuel as it’s a big inconvenience to stop the group early. Augast 5th. Warburton, Reefton Spur, Lake Mountain if weather ok then coffee at Marysville. The standard Loop. September 9th. Worried Yallock. Healesville, Toolangi and across to Kinglake for Coffee. Head home through St Andrews and maybe stop at Dam for those heading that way. October 14th.( Date change because of Bathurst) Healesville, Woori Yallock, Cockatoo and Emerald for Coffee. Monbulk, Olinda to Montrose and home. November 4th. Cup weekend. Yarra Junction, to Noojee for Coffee, Neerim Junction and back to Yarra Junction. December 2nd. Yet to be determined.

Found this on the weekend. Was hard work getting passed the fat ass Falcon.

Hi Dave. Would love to run with you guys this year. If you can save a spot for me in your regularly group that would be awesome. Been looking at this event for some time now. And finally I can lock this year in. Cheers Gordo.

That's what makes Toms car such a great race car. Developed in the 80s, very well thought out car and a front runner back in the day.
-
Won't be around that weekend.
-
Yes Richard. I understand what you mean. I think this may not be the first version of this spoiler. I could be tempted to extend the spoiler even more if the top speed is not effected.
-
On the weekend I built the 2,1/2 inch exhaust . Just tacked it there. Got it up nice and high. Will finish welding when I get another gas bottle. Ran out of Gas. lol.

Was out at Sandown in November and was thinking I don't need the big rear wing. So I made this rear spoiler extension which is a common modification . I was pulling a few more revs up the front and back straights and managed a PB. So I will defanantly give this a run at the Island next year.

Hi Gareth. I used the 2+2 strut legs for the extra diameter. Shorten shockers. Think they are from the Z31. With the shockers I got the threaded collars that you weld on the top of your 2+2 strut legs once you determine the correct length. Then slide the threaded spring collars over and weld at required hight.
