    Heres some pics of my dash resto. First ground out all the cracks to a v shape Cut alot of cuts across the cracks for fiber filler to bond to Filled cracks and cuts with fiber filler Sanded roughly with 30 grit. Few skims of body filler Sand to perfection 10 coats of 2 pack primer (thick coats) Sand to perfection 1 thick coat of vht wrinkle paint, heat with heat gun while wet, to keep wrinkles tight. And this what you get! Looks veeery good. Not exactly like the original, but every bit as good! Plus only cost about 100 bucks all up.

    Realy?? Wow. Wouldnt you just got with the tripple style efi set? Be way less than that.. and better than a carb.

    $550 for hinged bonnet. Less for one that just pins on. In white gel or black. $385 for gaurds 390 for hatch 380 for doors Plus heaps of spoilers for around 250 and rear wings. Reealy friendly mob too which is always nice :-)

    So i spoke to alpah. There more than happy to make any pannel more solid or less depending on what the car is used for at no extra cost. ie:race or street. They also have recently started using a heavier f/g for steet use. The light flimsy stuff is for race use, as that what races are after.. apparently.. also have recent renewed there molds too.. so i orderd a bonnet aand some front gaurds. Will keep you updated on how they are :-)

    What was the bonnet like? I dont need a hatch.. just thought it would be nice to have a perfect one that can't rust.

    Just looking at getting some gaurds and a hatch pannel in fiber glass.. any one had any experience with them? Do they fit well? Coming from a motorsport place in grantville victoria

    Hay mate!! Yes yes i was the fella who flaged ya down!! About a week after i saw you i picked this up.. had no idea i was gonna get it when i saw you!

    No distortion as the lip was double skinned and tacked on first. Then the top skin was tacked on at random points to minimize the heat. And yes.. and weld/patch work need a layer of filler... ideally id buy a brand new hatch.. but cant find them. Also would buy new doors and new gaurds.. but cant find them/get them in Australia unfortunately. In trying to organised heaps for parts from the usa in container.

    A few update pics. Just over 3 months now.. with a few holidays in between. New shocks Bushes every were New brake pad, seals, shoes, slaves New brake booster New clutch m&s New steering column bearing Not much thats not new now. Hopefully in another couple of months shes registered. :-)
