Hay matty. Did you have these running on at all? If so what were they tuned for? And did the come off the engine running well or not?

Hi all. I need the cross member for the gearbox. Manual. 71 240 with the single vertical bolt either side. Pic attached of the one i need :-) I do have the small part that witht the mount and barrel bushes.. but not the bottom section that bolts the the tunnel.

Trying to get dogleg and lower door rust repair sections. Rare spares dont have them, the z store or motor sport auto was 300usd to post them!!!!!! Any one know anywere else i can get them?

Yeah.. i hate defects. Its a good point.. might just fill the gaurds out with something as fat as i can go..

No worries mate. Ill see how i go. They both have a small amount of rust.. so ill use the best one obviously. But ill sell some bits in a few months i guess

Also hard decision to make when theres next to 0 rust in the guards too

Thats how i feel.. but id hate to do it to find out its hard to sell.. but hey, its it was so appealing to do it back in the day, and appealing to do it now.. why would people all of a sudden not like it in the future..

Will keep all parts till im finished. Theres 2 set of tail lights, 2 hatches, 6 seats, and heaps of other random bits. Gauges, trims, lots and lots of chrome bits...

Hi every one. Im back with another 240z. This one is a beauty! Minimal rust every were except a bit in the floor. Its been inna shed for close to 20 years under a big old tarp. It got pulled out 10 years ago and pulled apart then stored again because of the previous owners wife haveing a bad car accident. Any ways.. im the lucky one that the guy decided to reluctantly sell it too. Ill keep you all updated as we go. Heres some pics of the z and were it was stored. Came with alot of parts of 3 other 240s aswell.

Thanks for your reply mate. How many collectors buy 240s though? Most people buy them to enjoy and drive dont they?

Thinking of curting the lipmof the back and front like they do.. to install zg flares. Will this devlue my z? Anynone think that its a bad idea?

Hi forum, I went to the Phillip island historic races today, caught up with dat2kman (Jason) 280Z, He Flying past the 911's down the long straights!! Couldn't believe how fast that thing was! and so smooth and quiet with the EFI 2.8!!! he kindly brought down from QLD some 280zx struts for me, Thanks :-) Also, with the silver 260z Rob Crichton, He was a top bloke, Great to chat to, and was wearing a Auszcar hat and said he was a member. And Jeff Thomas, another cheerful Z owner, with his beautiful Blue and white 260z- And saw allot of beautifully preserved datsuns, in the Datsun/Nissan clubs show and shine!! Was an awsome day! hope to take my datsun there next year!! Enjoy the pics :-)

hope you all dont mind me puting a 1600 on here, but i sold my 240z a few months ago and was haveing "datsun withdrawals" so i found a 1600! not just any 1600 though! i built and sold my first datsun in melbourne 9 years ago, and every since i sold it, i wanted it back! just last week i found it on ebay for $150 (reserve not met) IN TRARALGON AROUND THE CORNER FORM MY HOUSE!!!! it was smashed in the side and was in bad shape! but i was going to pay whatever i had to just to get it! 9 years ago i spent alot of money on it!- 240k struts and breaks 240k box, got the tail shaft shortened and balanced 2.5" exhaust with hi flow tuned extractors that were made to go around a supercharger! ( thats another story though! ) l18 with new flat tops, and a reco n42 head with a crow cam full straight gas system with a donut tank new hd clutch all new pedders lowered suspension new carpets and velouer hood lining re skinned dash + heaps more! i found the car, didnt tell him it used to be mine and gave him $400 and it was mine... again :-) turns out from looking at rego papers and sticker, it was only regoed for 2 years all up after i sold it! so most things are still good! i also got a good straight shell to do the resto on! here is some piks of what it looked like 9 years ago and how it is today! ill keep you updated on the progress :-) hope you dont mind a 16 on here!
