  6. Hi all, Moving house. Garage needs emptying. L28 engine forsale, has N42 head and block. Rebuilt 5000km ago, re-ringed, honed, VRS kit etc. Intakes ported to gasket. Has near new alternator, Perry extractors, few bits and pieces. Harmonic balancer is no good. I have no time to play with it, please take it away $50 I have to have it gone by the 27th June. otherwise Ezy Scrap can take it. Lactated in Deakin SMS or call me o4o4 577 II VI III Can MMS pics
  7. I saw a 470kW FJ at a dyno comp once, had O2 sensors in each exh runner, spaghetti yetti manifold, dry sump, fancy fuels etc... In a Bluebird TRX..... one of the unbrakables, (un-brake-able) sack of shit handling cars ever.... so much fun though! Your FJ looks like it will surprise many
  8. Nice one! I was doing some research, as Ive been offered a mint 200b wagon, sat in a farm shed for years. Near mint condish.... few hundred dollars I think I'll just save my pennies for a few years and build a Z...maybe
  9. ARGHHHHHHHHH!!!! Mised out again! NNNNNOooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
  10. Im going to be converting an L28 for R30 skyline one day in the future... What will you be doing with the old sump and dipstick arrangement?? Could you take some pics for me?
  11. Well it may be an easier option getting an EDI head, theres on on ebay at teh moment, he says $50 postage... But not having cam towers and stuff like that leads me to the deep end of the pool, I start to doubt myself then! My N42 has ported intakes, was serviced/rebuilt only 6000km ago, so it might be good to keep!
  12. Just note that not all N42 are EFI heads.... Im currently trying to figure out how to convert one: Mark exact locations drill, tap, clean, de-burr then attack the injector notch.... this part I get confusios... dremel or attack with titanium carbide drill bit!!! Getto mods FTMFL
  13. In some cases, this is a great modification. Preferably when engine is turned off.... Should see a 50 to 70HP gain at least.
  14. Hello from Canberra! Numbers are growing! I'll have mine one day, prob 4 years away though Im moving back on base in 4 weeks, I have no room for my fun collection... If youre interested I have a good L28, only 5,000km since rebuild. Has N42 head & block, non injected head (has been ported too) Sump to suit 260Z Has a temporary big single carb on it, huge Hitachi thing... Perry extractors, few other odds & ends (have elec dissy for it too...)
  15. Has anyone had experience with Adaptronic? Aussie built etc, good customer service, great features too. I was talking to Jason (installer & tuner) a few years back, he flew to canberra to install on a few cars and tune the same day... 4AGZE (t) Toyota sprinter, very much fun......
  16. http://ozdat.com/classifieds/imageviewer.php?aid=1291&iid=1487 In the ozdat classifieds (semi-separate section of the site) has the rear windows glassed over, apparently runs a VY commodore engine!
  17. The L28et factory turbo ECU is a 8bit ROM version of the ECCS. You can get a R31(RB30e) ECU or even better a Z32 or VG powered Navara ECU and load the L28et data onto that. (Nisstune) Then tweak to suit (the Z32 ECU can use the higher resolution hot-wire AFM) I had a play about in the garage a few years back, got my L24e running on an RB30 ECU, distributor trickery is needed though (custom shaft adaptor) Also played with a RB30e and tur'bro'd it with ebay tawainese stuff for fun. Held 210kW at the rear wheels for 3 years, blew about as many gearboxes too! (torque was insane, breaking traction in 3rd in a straight line in the dry....)
  18. This has now sold, going to another enthusiast in Melbourne. Very sad indeed Hopefully I'll find another one in 4 years...
  19. Wiper blades Brake pads Headlight plugs contact cleaning Tyres (no tread) Wheel alignment Cannon muff replace with Lukey twin tip would hush it a bit better Seatebelts (front) frayed, spares included Starter solenoid sticks, so Melb drive is a bit of a risk!
  20. Non LSD R200 L28 sitting next to it! F54/n42 (ported, non efi) Dished pistons, has been rebuilt Will sell with skyline if needed
  21. Engine Bay Pic: If I was keeping this, I was going to pull it out and do a basic rebuilt (water pump, belts, hoses, rings, service head, all gaskets ARP bolts etc) Ball bearing turbo, intercooler, Wolf 3d or Adaptronic ECU VL injectors and a boost increase will put this at 130kW at the wheels
