    89mm pistons

Hey guys just wondering if anyone one knows where I can get some 89mm pistons for my L28, they need to have standard pin height.......
  4. If you still have an R180 I recommend the Torsen LSD's they are great!
  5. R200's have two different sized crown wheel bolts 10mm and 12mm so they probably made up some sort of collars for the bolts....
  6. They are a fair bit lighter too, but run fairly close to steering arm on a 240z so not sure how you'd go with yours Simon...
  7. Any wrecker should have some, VL commodore or R31 Skylines are a newer bolt on upgrade
  8. Yeah bursons, they stock the Mackay brand which are made in Moorabbin Victoria. Yahoo japan have silicone rad hoses for s30Z's also.
  9. Woohoo! Finally I've actually been quick enough to buy something I am working Simon.... on getting Datsun parts! Shhhhh, don't tell work. I thought you had a race L28 getting built Dimitri? Nismo....? Hopefully it's a LY28 lol.
  10. Ok Thanks, already have a set in the front, Does anyone sell the rears in Aus?
  11. Hey Galderdi, What was the kit you purchased, where from and how much?
  12. Well there you go, I'm certainly no expert. The L20 rev really easy, I had mine out to over 7500 when it was going, was really smooth. Gotta like the little hondas, they look very cool in the race livery.
  13. I have a 77 260 2+2 Jap import which has an L20 but it's falt top carbs with pollution gear. I would guess that the injection is from a 280zx as the emissions carbs are sh@#house.
  14. I love the look of a twin system on a zed, either the 432 style or something straight out the back like the rally cars ran. Here's my setup
  15. Does anyone know when the cut off for entry is? Can I enter on the day?
  16. Bruce, from my notes the diode should be between blk with white trace and wht with blk trace, the banded end of the diode should be connected to the white with black tracer, then the non banded end to black with white tracer, this should be youir 'L' terminal, it'll be a switched 12v that prevents reverse current stopping the car from running with the ingnition turned off. White and yellow should be connected, this is the 's' terminal. I don't have my car here to double check this though.
  17. I have also sent emails with no response. I think that they do their shipping by sea mail, so this month will probably be august-september for me, I always seem to get it last down here in Mexico. Great mag though, cheap subscription and worth the wait.
  18. I doubt it would make a difference unless you go silly with the tension, I adjusted both my front and rear braces inwards and was told to hand tighten, then one half turn with a shifter.
  19. Not One, but Two electric 240z's!! And Teslaar thought they had the market cornered..... Sure they not as 'roomy' as a prius, but it is a sports car after all Nice find!
  20. I'll take the 240z steering rack if we can do postage to melb???? I'm happy to pay the extra
  21. The 'panto' is kind of like a giant scissor jack or even a motorcycle jack under each sill, it runs the entire length almost and rubber blocks stop the seems getting squashed.
  22. I have a motorsportauto 'victory' rear spoiler, it's the same as bre style but 2 inches higher. They have a warning listed with the item saying not to run the victory rear spoiler without a front spoiler...... Also I remember reading standard 240z's were supposed to wander/lift at high speeds so I guess adding a rear spoiler would only make this more of a problem :-\ But I'm just a plumber so 'pipes' and 'stuff' is where my expertise ends
  23. He runs a complete sklyline rear end i believe. Mine has been hoisted on a 'panto' hoist if thats the correct name? I haven't heard of the rail warning you describe before...... :-\ Sound like a concern though.
  24. I got a washable foam filter from Unifilter when I was running standard carbs/airbox years ago, try them on 02 94821792. When it's dirty you just wash, re-oil then refit. They are supposed to flow better than standard filters too
