These are the original service books for #297 which Harry Corbett purchased brand new after test driving #4 (and before people ask he no longer owns #4) he ordered the car and took delivery not long after it had arrived.

We'll stay on topic, Series 1 Aus delivered cars. It wouldn't hurt to point out the differences on the series 2 cars as well as there seems to be a cross over point with them to. Good to see everyone is learning a thing or two bout them and cracker is correct the early aus delivered cars (series 1 & 2) came out with the four screw carbies.

Another one, Fibreglass headlight nose cones

A mate and I were having a chat this morning who also owns a few early cars and after restoring a couple we've noticed many differences between the early cars and later model 240z's. We thought that it might be an idea to start a topic since there are a few being restored now. Differences we've noted so far: - radiator support top - Brackets that are welded onto the inner guard to support the guard - rear hatch lock down panel is split in two - Ashtray lid handle - Wire tabs in the engine bay and in the cabin - Air vent in the fascia - Map light cover - Metal radiator fan - E31 engine head - Door hinges - Rear hatch - Gearbox - Diff position - Speedo - Metal exterior badges - Rear tail lights - Seats - Centre console with hand choke and throttle - steering wheel - 4 screw carbies instead of three - some have an e31 block others have a p30 -fender mirrors that's what i've remembered so far, if we can ad to the list to get an idea on whats different with these cars.

Hi all, I'm after a passenger side front guard for my 240z as its getting closer to being finished. If your able to help out that would be great.

It sure was, overall it's pretty original and has got virtually no rust in the body and i would say 75% of the paint is original and doesn't appear to have been involved in any major accidents. Fabio and his Wife bought it of the original owner, drove it up and down the road every so often then it got parked in the shed, I'm guessing from the service sticker its been of the road since around 1991.

So this ones been in the pipeline for a while, it's an original two owner car and originated down near Albury way and lived there all of it's life until now. All complete and matching numbers and still retains the e31 head and radio. My plans are to get the paint tidied up along with the interior which is a bit shabby but all original and drive this one for a while, overall its a pretty cool original old car

For sale we have two early 240z's, i'm selling on behalf of a friend who has changed direction with what he is keeping. Both cars are in need of a full restoration inside and out. Both cars are matching numbers and do run. Car 1 - $25,000 - Original Red matching numbers car in the late #297 - All original but does need extensive rust work done to bring it back to it's former glory. The car is all complete and does run and drive but only for transport reasons. Car 2- open to negotiation - Originally Green and numbered in the early #2## - Matching numbers and reasonable for the age, is mostly complete but needs a full restoration to do it justice and is not to bad for rust considering it is an early car. the engine does run but the car does not drive currently. Unfortunately I don't have any current photos, only the one photo of #297 with the silver bonnet. I will try to get some in the next week. If you are genuine please feel free to contact me on 0423 660 281, I do stress both these cars are FULL restoration projects and you wont have them on the road in a weekend.

After some serious consideration I am offering my "early" 240z for sale. #295 is fairly original for its age and has had paint and interior repairs like most have in there life. It still has the original matching numbers engine and early gearbox. The engine runs well, the gearbox is a little crunchy into second (most early gearbox's are) but still changes smoothly through the other gears. the engine bay is fairly original including the four screw carbs, the original metal fan comes with the car. The body is good for an early car with only minor rust in the doglegs, the firewall, hatch lock down panel and floors are all very clean. the paint is patina'd for the age but still presents well. There are a couple of dents in the passenger side rear quarter but that is the worst of it, there is no evidence of any major accident damage. The car has the original fender mirrors, diamond tip antenna, and an aftermarket factory style front spoiler. The interior still presents well for the age, the seats and carpet have been redone at some stage, the dash does have cracks. All the guages still work and inside still retains the rare pieces like the early steering wheel, gear nob, centre console and all the other hard to get bits. I just drove the car to Sydney and back for the 2017 nationals which was close to a 2000 klm round trip and it went perfectly and stood out on the road. Given the current market and the fact that early matching numbers cars are scarce and the cost to restore a rusty car properly will cost close or more than $100k, its been difficult to determine a price. I am not in a hurry to sell my pride and joy and am not interested in offers below 50k. If you are genuinely interested please email me at: curtis1989z@gmail.com
