Thanks for the offer, currrently she's full of holes in the floor as Simons welding some patches for me. I also wont have garage down south for 2 months or so. I got a quote offone company for just under $400, does that sound right?

As you guys might know, I'm about to become a Melbournite and will be looking to get the Z down there once I've found a house with a garage. So my friend Alex (from the Thredbo trip) is going to be looking after my car until I find it a house. So next question, does anyone know of a good/trustworthy car freight business in ACT? I'm not too keen to drive the epic journey, and it'll be cheaper after all the petrol she'd guzzle! Also, who's keen for a farewell beer sometime before the 24th August?

It's funny how some cars in the flesh are half as good as they seem in photos! Still, someone with time and money could make a good solid original car from it.

This whole fiasco makes me feel awkward about asking questions! Dealer aside, he is an enthusiest, as am i, but im still far from remembering every z car and their differences. Harsh but fair yes, but not welcoming another z car lover? Dunno, i sit on the fence. -
That's weird, in the end I was told pre '73 didn't come with them. Is anyone else missing theirs?

I had the same issue when transferring into my name in ACT. Mine was a '72 and didn't have a compliance plate - but the mechanic still demanded one before he could sign the RWC. After spending half the day at the mechanics then at the Road Authority they finally accepted that it had no compliance plate and let me register my car! I can't remember the date in which compliance plates were added, I might be wrong but was it late '72?

did the rear 1/4 windows in the 260z open? I've got soccer from 12-3ish, so anytime before or after is good for me (Sorry, I'm starting to sound like a nagging old lady!) We could meet 10ish somewhere for a cruise, or we could meet 3ish cruise then a couple of beers somewhere?

Sunday works for me too. If we make it the 4th July, my old man and his 350z are in town - im sure he'd be up for a cruise! If not Sunday 12th is good for me!

As subject says, I'm looking at refurbishing a 240z dash. My dash at the moment has a carpet dashmat glued to it. I'm thinking I'll have a go at my own restoration on a second dash, given that it turns out alright I'll fit it and redo the one currently in my car. If this works, it means I'll have a reskinned dash for sale for some lucky forum member! So if anyone has a spare 240 dahs in bad nick, I'm willing to buy it!
