  1. Called both. None available. Next?
  2. I dont think you need 16's to clear Willwoods with Watts.. I run them front and rear with 15's. Its 0.5mm off, but they clear without any issues.
  3. Now we're talking!..I'm CONFIRMED. Just don't turn up in your Commodores or Magnas..
  4. Car shows are nice and have their place, but try to find a bunch of friendly guys, who don't mind driving their Z's and not just looking at their cars. Coffe & Cars are a great thing as are short bursts on Saturday mornings. Used to go with a bunch of people here years back, then I dropped off the list when I turned up in a non Z one day
  5. 944's are a great platform and reasonably easy to maintain, if you're handy. Buy the best one you can. Watch for rust in usual spots (yes, they do rust, as do fully galvanised 911's)... Keep looking.
  6. All good. Thanks for sharing that one. I'll head down to Melbourne for this one anyway...Guys, lock me in, its in my diary for the 6th of December.
  7. Is anyone organising something like this in Sydney?..I bough a little Honda from VIC and it has a sticker on the window from this event and always liked the design...Is it so dead here in Sydney on historic Jap side or am I living in a hole?
  8. Thanks..You are a fountain of knowledge!..I have a Silvia box on my red 240, but I don't like the thick shift at the base and want to have what I did in my 1st Zed back in the 80's. There is something nostalgic about this shifter shape. Before you tell me, I know, I need to re fabricate to fit Silvia box, happy to do that..Perhaps I shoudl be looking at a S14 shifter that suits with a similar shape?..Any leads out there? Just want to get rid of that stubby base and ad a little length...I know its lurking there under my leather shroud which incidentally doesn't sit right with that much meat at base. Yet another 1st world problem to overcome
  9. Looking for this: Anyone has one laying around? Thank you.
  10. Thanks Very much!.. Love our members here.
  11. Thanks ALL. Not needed as I have a custom made one and tuned to my needs. Outlets are 50mm or 2 inches. Listing on Ebay now. Thank you. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/-/171896901069?
  12. Thanks ALL. Re Why: Not needed as I have a custom made one and tuned to my needs. Listing on Ebay now. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/181836870568?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649 Cheers
  13. Guys Bit of a guidance here from the more experienced members please. About to undertake restore another 240 (always something on the go) and I do want to go all out on detail this time and this one will remain as close to original as possible. The pieces that always get to me are the little bits and pieces which I'd like to see plated with one method or another. Not looking for a cheap fix, just a solid solution I can purchase and use when I want to. There are pretty much two types of finishes I'd like to be able to do on my own. The silver / clear and golden finish. Both, I understand are Zinc Plating with the golden/yellow finish being yellow chromate added in the process. The other (I think this is a cleaning process) I'd like to have, is what I have seen as "water blasting"?? where the cast parts like the intake manifold, come out like brand new. All methods can be seen on this picture: http://s690.photobucket.com/user/rahail240/media/Mobile%20Uploads/image.jpg.html Any idea of good quality, local machine / process suppliers I should be talking to first?. Lots of garbage on net, including guys cooking bolts in toxic stuff in their kitchens LOL Thanks in Advance.!
  14. Would have seen cruising around the hills and Central Coast yesterday
  15. Cheers George!..Bought them with my Mikunis and never saw anything like this again. The land of the raising Sun shines throughout this engine bay , just need to get away from the silly K&N filters!..Anything Jap out there?
  16. Anyone out there with Cams approved cage?..I'll look at non approved also. Looking for direction for new cages in Sydney also. Thank you in Advance.
  17. Finishing touches on the engine bay. Will fix the fuel lines a bit nicer soon, but I will need to take things out one day as I do want to paint it the same colour as the rest of the car, but its not important to me right now and I'm just enjoying the car. Next, the seats. With the much improved handling, the old seats are annoying now. Researching what to do with it, want a clean look and nothing I see fits the bill right now.
  18. Great skill to have there Jeff. Great start and much inspiration for my project.

  21. Great!..Lets get the Z vibe going on in the Hills Exhaust done..6 to 2 all the way. Experimenting with two setups. This one has 4 dogs running centre and end (2 on each line). Sounds great, but I think its still too muzzled. I think I will go to the 1 on each line route next.
  22. Hi. Thanks For that..Always forget about GumTree. Sent a message there, tx! The hoses (All) I have now ordered from MotorSportAuto. Looks like a reasonable reproduction. Cheers.
  23. - 240Z SU's (with or without manifold, round top's of course) - Must be complete / working order. - Original mud flaps (front and or rear as I have front set already) - Original, uncracked dash anyone? LOL - 14 inch Steel wheels and hub caps - Original cloth braided radiator hoses anyone? That's pretty much all I need right now...Cheers
  24. Yeah, I'm in the hills. Love to connect when you're ready. Anycase, got new plates. OLD Becomes RED and the OLD going on my Older 240 now
  25. Hey. Thanks Very Much!..The car is getting there, far from perfect (for me), but its a constant WIP to keep me on the straight and narrow. Recently purchased another Z, this one original (well, very close to) so keeping me very ZHappy right now. Not sure of any Z owners in and around my area. Very illusive bunch
