  1. Mine is behind the passenger seat on the upright. Out of seat and easy to reach.
  2. 2+2 = 1200 kilos X 5 for National code 6 Litre maximum capacity. What about a Chev? I just fitted a 302 Cleveland to my 2+2 and using an engine of the same year model means emission laws may not apply pre july 1976. Aluminium manifold and heads would bring it back down to L Series weightish and the vehicle will need brakes capable of stopping it from 35 KPH in a distance of 12.5 meters. 10mm Clearence is required around all of the motor. Or have i said too much?
  3. Cool i'll park the V8 2+2 out the front of Doveton St South near Crossroad guitars. Toot as you go past.
  4. The guys next to Sebastopol Auto Wreckers in Ballarat seem to carry a few of these models. Not sure if they are wrecking but
  5. Hey all those sporting a tash could maybe keep them for the Z BBQ this weekend and we could get some photos. Perhaps we could even pass the hat around and make a donation?

  11. I fitted a remote oil filter to my other Zed with the 302 Cleveland V8 so i'm thinking i will get it for that.
  12. Does anyone have thoughts, comments or perhaps fitted an oil cooler to vehicle?
  13. Whoops i've attracted a Septic Tank thrift store
  14. Ahhh that takes me back, i do recall the last time an officer looked at me like that (actually it was two) way back in 98
  15. I'm right with that mate but remember these are from the national code which may not apply in this state.
  16. None of them hold the qualifications to do so.
  17. All three local Ballarat VASS "Engineers" can not carry out certification for an engine conversion so it'll be off to Melbourne or Geelong for that. Reading the modification guideline for engine replacement if you were to fit a larger naturally aspirated engine into an 1100Kg vehicle the formula is 1100 X 4 where as if a vehicle is 1200Kg or over the equation is weight X 5 so the largest capacity engine you can fit in a 2+2 is 6.0 Litres. The engine must clear all other parts by 10mm and fluid lines must be kept well clear of exhaust fittings. Brake performance must allow the vehicle to stop from 35 kph within 12.5 meters. This is taken from the national code which i'll use strongly as a guide which means i'll need to reroute the fuel and transmission lines and provide slighty more clearance for the steering shaft. Other than that it should all be go. I think Geelong would be the go as my sister lives not far from the two engineers Capable of performing the VASS inspection.
  18. Paint from the exhaust headers.
