  1. Hey guys - great to have my car here but it's all wired for alarm (can't even find a brand!) and even when I disarm it via the remote it chirps and kills the spark - any ideas on how I can by pass it or kill it!!!! Thanks Rev
  2. so I took off the pump, cleaned it and I can feel some pressure when I move the arm, just want to check if this is set up correct as it sits against the cam thingy?
  3. Hey guys, Trying to start my new Zed today. Drained old fuel, replaced with new fuel, added an inline fuel filter but as Im cranking the filter isn't filling. Checked lines back to the tank and can hear bubbles when I blow so that should be fine - could it be the fuel pump? Anyone in Melbourne have a spare I could borrow to test? Thanks Rev
  4. Thanks Mossy and Gav - I'll follow up with Ash and Mossy it would be great to meet up and the same applies, if I can be of help to you. Cheers, Rev
  5. Yep, same guy - he's getting a lot of work due to his customised service - very happy with him.
  6. It has arrived - and it is in unbelievable condition - couldn't be more pleased! 45 years old and the undercarriage looks like new! Chris240 - Thanks again and big shout out to Victa from https://www.facebook.com/UmbrellaTowing - kept his delivery promise and beat the opposition by over $300 - I would highly recommend his services.
  7. Have a guy actually picking it up for me - should be in my garage by 4pm
  8. Melbourne here we go!
  9. Positive outcome in getting the report despite the excuses, you handled it well.
  10. Yep! I contacted him with a buy it now price and he was keen and asked when I could pick them up, I replied and then never heard from him again - he must have been watching the bidding or got a mate to bid!! All OK, I'll keep in the race for a while before I let them go and can always wait for other options.
  11. Gav - You're not over reacting - The guy would know the uniqueness of the vehicle and the responsibility to make sure it is adequately secured. This obviously shows that he is clearly not interested in maintaining the interest of his clients or their endorsement. Yep, you're in for an interesting conversation tomorrow, unless their was some significant emergency which caused this irresponsibility, you're bound to hear a lot of excuses! Good on you for picking up the car. The funny thing would be if he thought it had been stolen and has to call you and give you some story that someone had broken in and stolen your car! :-\
  12. Thanks guys, Have to see if i'm successful with the bid - it has gone into a frenzy with 4 days to go and I don't want to suffer from premature adulation! I'll keep you posted! Rev.
  13. Thanks Gav - will see what happens over the next day or two.
  14. Hi guys - May have a line on some seats for my 240 that need to be picked up in Narara about an hour out of Sydney? Anyone out that way or coming down to Melbourne with room for a couple of seats? thanks, Rev
  15. Thanks Gav - that's just what I need. Cheers
  16. Can't wait to work on that one!!! Just waiting for the pickup!! - Thanks for babysitting!
  17. Hey Gav, Both my son and I use one of these Rockwell 'shop series' - the different foam pads are east to obtain - works great and is a random orbital - cost about $120 from Supa Cheap. It's more about the product and action that you use that gives you the greatest results.
  18. Just putting it out there as a preliminary idea - As many of you know I have restored a number of Zed's that have been of high quality and sold for good prices, two of them winning awards! - I'm looking at moving to a new house with a 4 car workshop!! Thinking that I might put my spare time toward helping those, especially in the Melbourne region to work on their body/paintwork and interior restoration - I can do with the work right now and my overheads will be low, so it is the real possibility of a win/win situation - let me know if you're interested in having the assistance of a Revzed makeover! Cheers, Rev.
  19. Great job man, you've stuck at it and it looks like you are achieving the result you were looking for - well done! cheers, Rev

I know some people who would be happy to be in your position, so suck it up and be who you really are... a new years party animal! Blessings, Rev.

  24. Yep! first 240Z into the stable! Just had a design session with my little bro and I think this one is going to have a real retro vibe! I'm starting to get excited, can't wait for it to get here!
  25. Got a quote today for $650 as a non runner from Canberra to Melbourne - This guy comes highly recommended so I'll keep everyone up to speed on how well this all happens. He specialises in classics and is fully insured. He beat the rest of the quotes by $300! - should be here in about a week!
