I'm just trying to gauge interest in new reproduction front guards for 240/260z . I've spoken with a retailer who used to sell them but their supplier doesn't make them anymore . If I can get enough numbers it might be viable for them to do another run . Were listed at $399 each So who's after a pair ? Cheers Doug

Same one's as gumtree and by the looks of the images they are way over priced by the amount of work it would take to get them straight. Probably why he is selling them . I guess he had them media blasted and thought the same .

Thanks Shame about the nose cone being bogged on and the fact it's a not a 240z but a 260z guard with the front repeater/indicator patched up from the inside . Cheers Doug

Nothing new . I had an early vin car that my uncle brought new in 1970 from the Melbourne motor show and sold it back in the 90's to a chap who was sending it back to Japan with a number of other zed's . Early Porsche's are are also going back to England and the USA in droves as our low dollar makes them very cheap compared to the prices over there. It's very much a global market for classic cars and most don't worry to much about the left/right hand drive thing .

Wanted 240z frt quarter panels . looking for a pair but really only need rhs as lhs is saveable . Don't need to be perfect just straight and happy to fix some rust . Use a grease gun ! The thread is the same as the caliper and is much safer than using compressed air . Its a bit messy but it's what the pro's use . Cheers Doug

I've got a couple of Brand new engine stands in boxes that I was going to use for a rotisserie but never used if you're interested ? I ended up making one from scratch but that's long gone. PM if interested .

They do them for the bigger strut (55mm) but they are not in stock and take about 7 days to get in . Everything is the same except the base that welds to your strut .

Though for my application, with the club/ historic rego scheme (Victoria), I was under the impression that an engineer is no longer required as the car is inspected by the club signatory. On the plus side (for the engineer) there is always the ability to get full rego, and insurance.... Feel free to share your experiences! I think you will find most clubs will want a RWC or an engineers report for any modified car they offer plates for . The club will be held liable and could loose it's ability to offer club plates if found not following the rules . A car still needs to be road worthy and legal to be driven in Victoria and club plates do not exempt you from that .
