erm i doubt any inspector will say its good for any car they inspect. its safer for them to say its crap. so u dont buy it and they dont get blamed. simple. most of the times i refuse such inspection. i have no problem them getting it checked just the paid service is a joke an absolute waste of time for both parties and big waste of money to the potential buyer. Im pretty sure everyone know someone that is in the field to check the car for them properly. so nuclear z did u get close to what u were after?

yeah this is been discussed in other forums as well.... just to add few things regarding someones comments about cars lowered with IRS and killing diff alignement tailshaft. ermmmm its directly bolted it doesnt move. as for driveshafts well i still havent managed to kill one. to my defence my car is 2" lowered all around and been like that since i got it. not to say it sticks to the road and doesnt wobble like titanic (and yes i got more than 10cm clearance under the car) alignment has been checked and all si good. same car my mate has gone to 2.5" and still hasnt ripped or destroyed anything nor does the car feel unsafe. he does have proper suspension with same travel as original. so there are people out there that do the right thing. but ive seen commodores falcons and all sorts of jap cars lowered to their bumpstops acting as absorbers. stupidity. rear camber on irs commodores so exessive that is almost using the sidewall. here in SA they measure from center of the wheel to the edge of the lip. on newer cars they have all the info post 86 cars to compare how much its lowered by. some older cars will still get away with it as long as its not 10cm or lower on the lowest point of the car. including hoses and cables anything hanging is the lowest part. i agree this wont stop much besides being revenue and hassling people doing the right thing. dimwits will still be cutting springs with oxy set or to an extreem ive seen even removing the spring all together. they should be banned from driving for life. but do the right thing and u shouldnt have any issues.

or u can buy them brand new from nissan for around 500. got mine straightened and rechromed cost was 380 through Everlast automotive.

yeah i know its actualy the viscous type so the stock driveshafts are useless From memory i think the splines are same just not long enough to reach the center.could be wrong on this. therefore have to use viscous type cv which is no big deal as was planning in doing so anway.

true yeah mines R200 LSD long nose out of R30 RS turbo skyline. very clean and good diff. zedman. i got 3.7 gearsets and can get 3.9. prob is to get them replaced by someone costs lot more than its worth expecialy finding out it wasnt a good result. though i know the procedure to set one up but wont be game to risk $1500 lsd diff for experiment. do have a damaged R200 short nose LSD out of S14. damaged gear set. so was going to remove the lsd part and shove it in one of the 3.7 long nose open wheelers. need an LSD for 240z anyway. so 3.7 looks like it will be a good compromise with SR20det infront of it. not sure if ill be game to drive it to 260+km/h in a 39yo old car.

pretty exy for the 240z rear light bars. ill check if the guy i used, is still alive. and ill forward the number. he was kicking around 70 last time i saw him and that was 3years ago.

i got 4.4 in mine but 4.1 or even 3.9 would be a better option. with rb25det u got lot more tourque even going down to 3.7 in a light s30 rb25engine wont have any issues moving it. though u be getting to some fairly high speeds. i got rb20det with lot less tourque with bigger turbo. 4.4 seemed logical but i find changing gears very regularly.highway driving also bit too low, rpm vs speed is bit high in 5th chews fuel. but off the line gives wrx run for their money pitty i have to do an extra gearchange.

nice work on the seals. i hate doing the sharp corners. one of mine is ok the other one needs redoing looks bit dodgey. nice work keep it up.

thats what i did.i didnt want to sell them on ebay for a $1 so i got 2x rb 1x SR autos 1x siezed L series engine with auto attached (my 260z original motor and gbox) with few other metal parts and took it to scrapers. got from memory about 250 for that load

candy apple red is glorified Ford term for Red paint . doesnt look anything like its name insists. its just good old plain red. nah not fussed about concourse. so dont realy care what they on about in that regard. they can be uptight. but i talk from experience. if i dont know about something i keep my mouth (fingers) shut i just dont like the thing US muscle is the only car worth having and v8 is the only engine that can be called an engine. rice burners, chopstick cars as they refer to anything other than US cars. though there are few good and helpfull guys on the forum. just ignore the $hit sterers they just jelous that they got beaten by a rice burner chopstick car sometime in their life and they pretending they all big and tough with their big blocks still to me nothing beats a look on a v8 powered driver car that gets rolled by a 4cyl. not everything is in cubes and tourque. post some pics of the muzzy. in the open section. these guys dont mind. .................. i hope

why do people waste money on aftermarket ecu for RB? silly realy they can be chiped easily for more than street applications. let face it most of the RB conversion are getting done for street applications. so u not going to have a 10k turbo on it running 40psi pressure that requires an aftermarket ecu. they cheap and they will run the engine properly. not to say u can do the wiring yourself. nissan did a briliant job of the loom. it only needs the ignition pinout changed and its virtualy plug and play to the S30. 6 wires all u need to hook up. easier than car stereo install. but anyway people like listening to workshops that rip them off. ;D been there done that and seen the light.

ive got my front on but rears off. (rear only of as i need one of the rubber insulators) i like the front on gives it that FANGS look. also covers datsun cheapscate grill shortenings

good idea. its getting very fierce now. hihihihihihihih i used both if nothing better around ill use gasless. its just messy and i know that i can do lot nicer and quicker job with gas one. ive used few brands. CIGweld would be my preffered one than BOC. WIA be nice but very pricey. used some of the chinese ones once u get the settings right they work well. i got cemig which is like 15+ yo italian made. had its few issues but still paid its self off countless times. if u going to be doing this more than just on one car i still think u better invest in the gas one. sure bottle rental can be exy but gasless wire aint cheap so u paying for it either way. best option is if u know whos got either one of them go there have a play with both.have welds and than decides which one u like better. end of story.

erm mostly there are two others that are not worth mentioning but are for sale.(this needs clarification they not Z cars. one is a falcon the other BMW, sorry spawn) 240z both need resto. muzzy i just got needs finishing 260z and s14 200sx are the ones regod and runing with another one which used to be my mums car. the s15 not regod as it needs some work done to it. my current project. i usualy have only 2 cars regod at the time. the other ones are usualy seasonal rego or if one of the dailys decide to play up the third car gets regod and driven till rego runs out again. so it doesnt cost much extra. back to the topic. choosign the colour on 240z didnt take long. cause i was divided between mazda mettalic red and falcon blueprint for the 260z . blueprint won for the 260z and automaticaly 240z is going red. 2 seaters look great in nice red. just look at sulios. perfection

i chucked out 2 rb auto boxes. nobody wants them as everyone wants 5spd..... seen on ebay sell for $1 LOL just use the RB 4spd auto and get the tail shaft redone if needed. the 4spd is lot better not to say fairly bulletproof. Dependin how u position the motor u possibly could use the L series tailshaft directly. its lot easier and lot cheaper to use the rb auto. most importers will give them away with the motor just to get rid of them

hehehe so i wasnt making things up mustang related. cool. to answear your question mustang vs one z hmmmmmm im a nissan freak and i think ill be keeping the 240z. not becuse of this website but Z is an all rounder and with mods costing half than what most mustang owners go though it will still eat the mustang down the straight and will make the pony look even slower around the twisty stuff. just dont mention i said that to the other mob im in their dark books allready for saying i want twin turbo the 302W. also jokingly said about the tokyo drift 67 was powered by a rb26dett and it swallowed its drift scene double 400ci down the 1/4 and lot quicker in laps. they didnt believe me even with links to the story. if i had a 67 fastback with 390 than i think the resale value will tell me to keep the muzzy. but it aint so fun goes to 240z. still i like the muzzy but i dont think ill ever get rid of the 240 when its complete. so u didnt paint the pony in pink did you u better not

i had mine on for 2 years still seem to be ok. i havent got the led ring just the lense looks same. my parkers are part of the headlamp now too. original ones are sealed beam. so if it hasnt been changed for a lense that has H4 globe than most probably not. since ur glass lense is most probably diffused rather than the reflector only way to find out is to pull it out.

lol it is funny some things but who ever watched the film was either half pissed or didnt pay attention. anyway few lines there were made up and not correspondign to the acutal movie. story confused which makes the movie more silly that it actualy was. though personaly i loved it and its was a great movie. for those that think scifi is link to reality shouldnt realy go watch such movies but movies "my big fat greek weeding" , or any other boring chick flick

actualy that red convertible doesnt look to shaby lot better than the one ive seen before. ill post a pic later when i find it. looks like ferrari daytona from a side which is a hot car. that vette rubish yuk.... get a corvette im sure he could have afforded one after that rebuild. o well
