1. How much did you end up paying total? The Stance & Speed website is selling them for $125 delivered. I make photo albums as part of my job and for the number of pages and quality of the book that is bloody cheap! I wanted to make a book for the forum but cost was I was looking at $150-200 per book, but I suppose i was looking at making maybe 20 copies whereas the Speed Hunters guys have the benefit of doing a run of 1500 which brings the cost down per album.
2. Hi guys, I'm sure most of are you are aware of the Speed Hunters website, The website is known for its quality photos and they have started releasing an anual photo album, "This 400-page softcover book chronicles the entirety of 2011 through the lenses of Speedhunters’ worldwide crew of photographers. The result is an unparalleled photographic document of global car culture." This sold out quite quickly but I have found that you can still order the book from the publisher Stance & Speed. Check out some of his other books while you are there too, great books for gear heads Anyway I ordered a copy, I have only looked through half of it at the moment and spotted a couple of Z's already. Here's some pics of the book on a sexy yellow background
3. Hey Vindi, yeah red is not a problem. I'll do up a version so you can how it looks.
4. Hey mickie, I'm going to send the order off on Monday next week. I was waiting to get a few orders in to save on shipping but only have 2 orders atm! No profit at all but at least we get some cool cases haha. haha sco-aus, what I meant was you should get your leather case etched with a z, something like this: But I wasn't really serious I'm loving laser etching atm. I did up this design and had it engraved into a cheeseboard for a friends wedding recently. But anyway if anyone else wants a case let me know before Monday!
5. Just drop it off at my place and I'll give you a case a beer Sad to hear Jason. All the best.
6. Ah no worries! Could always get a z laser etched onto it haha
7. Hey mate, can get the S2 or S3. Already have one order down for the S2
8. No one? I can get the iPhone 4 & 5 cases cheaper from a different supplier, $59 and $64 delivered. I can change the colours on any of the cases or use your own photos. Doesn't even have to be car related, you could give your partner a picture of your ugly mug on a case for Christmas if you wanted
9. Hi guys, bit of a long shot but is anyone able to take some calipers from Brisbane to Ash's shop in Moorabbin, Melbourne? Or back up from Melbourne to Brisbane? Just trying to save on some postage. Not in a great rush but this year would be good. Cheers Sushi
10. Hi guys, I'm ordering another batch of custom iPhone cases (or samsung/htc). This time they are much better quality printing. Prices are as follows $75 for HTC & Samsung $64 for iPhone 5 $59 for iPhone 4 All including delivery in Aus and you can have any one of the designs below or email me your own picture and I can have that printed. Small donation to the site if I can sell 3 or more. Let me know if you are keen!
11. Sounds good, not sure what I'll be driving yet. Brakes are off the 240z atm so I might be riding shotgun or driving a girly little swift. Might try and convince my old man to come down in his 350z I'll plot the drive on google maps and I can pm all of the people I have saved in my QLD members list, see if we can get some more interest
12. Come on Sydney guys, jump on this. This guy takes nice shots
13. I'm up for any idea, even if it is just a drive to beach on the coast. We could drive to Mudjimba beach and buy some cheap fish & chips just off the beach there. Means less hassle with organising food etc. Depending on how keen people are, we could take some inland Sunny Coast roads to get there. But yeah just as happy for a house BBQ if that's what people want to do
14. Good work Peter, sounds like a good day
15. Hey Pete, you should consider going via the Sunny Coast hinterland. Sorry I won't be able to make it, my brakes need some serious attention :S
16. Lurch you have done a bang up job. Wit out yo dis place would b full of gangsta speakin Honda boyz. But seriously, your firm no BS attitude has kept the majority of this forum on track and therefore more useful to everyone involved. Ps if you come up north don't drink the Bundy, stick to Sailor Jerry or at the very least Mount Gay! In any case, there will always be some sort of rum for you at my place!
17. Yeah I've been trawling forums finding out the different sizes for different setups. I'd say realistically I've got about 50% of the information I need for the 5 or 6 common conversions that are done. When I get it a bit more sorted I'll start a thread and others can add any info they have
18. No I'm not sure which is why I am researching. I don't mind supporting him (which is why I'm looking at buying some parts from him instead of getting the brackets made here) but another brake kit supplier in the states is charging $395 postage to Aus and I can't justify that. So before I waste his time with a quote I wanted to work out all of the details and work out the best way to go. In the end it probably will just be easier to get everything from him. I think finding out the availability and legality of parts is also worth investigation. Also I'm compiling a list of brake upgrades but with more information such as part numbers, piston area etc. so all of this information is helpful.
19. Just found this from the vendor on HybridZ (as of 2008): I don't know a great deal about engineering and approving mods for brakes etc. are there any issues in Australia with having re-drilled rotors approved/complianced? I guess I'll need to find myself an engineer
20. Our Aussie Falcon's don't use the same caliper do they?
21. Does anyone know where you can buy the Mustang calipers in Aus? I'm considering buying the hardware from Silvermine but getting the discs and calipers locally to save on shipping. From what I have read the calipers are from an 05-10 Mustang. Anyone know what the discs are? Also could I use stainless steel brake lines that were made for the stock 240z brakes or would they have a different thread? I was looking at this setup as I'm looking for rear discs with a handbrake and I have been waiting for Dave at arizona to release his kit but I have no idea when/if it will be made available.
22. Someone should make a thread about that
23. They should model it more inline with the 240z (not the latest 370z) and price bracket it with the Toyota 86. That way the 370z can be their "look at our awesome technology at a decent price" and the new 240z could be the "sports car for the every man". I'm excited no matter what they do
24. Alright enough. Get back on topic. Place the mirrors wherever you want (I would too). Post photos here and measurements and even your experience with how functional they are and post why you placed them where you did (don't claim it is correct if you looked up some pictures from the internet and took a punt). If you are looking for factual information on where the mirrors could have been placed from the factory, listen to Alan's posts and filter through the comments from other knowledgable members (the title of this thread does state "CORRECT PLACEMENT"). BOTH are valuable resources for many different reasons. And quit the whinging
25. Haha thanks & good luck! I do hope you win, I feel your car has a good chance with the judges
