No offence to anyone but these look terrible in my opinion compared to RS-8 watanabes - looks like just like a pathetic copy to me - the shape might be similar but the proportion is not correct at all :shock: each to their own I guess

I never had a doubt about what car I wanted - once I saw a clean Z on the net with some basic exterior mods like no rust and a froint spoiler I have made a decision to buy one - that was when I was about 13-14... later I found out about cars like RA28 (not bad but didnt like the technical side - only a 4 cyl standard and even looks wise I still prefered a Z) and the little mazdas - not enough of a sporty look for me. 2000gt - is ok in my opinion, but I am realyl happy Nissan didnt produce it instead of 240Z - our cars have much more balanced lines from what I can see and have aged very gracefully. Although I have to admit that I was tempted by other more modern car - like the Z32 and AW11 - but thats only after I got my hands on a Z

Does anyone know of a detailed intructions on performing a 5-stud cinversion? As in what car the hubs need to be off and what exactly needs to be done to put them onto a 240? See plenty of cars running 5 studs but cant seem to be able to find any tutorials.

as above. Also if you car in non-L6 or non-R180, please state so as it would surely affect weight destribution a bit and will require diff spring rates.

Does anyone know any friendly engineers in melbourne who I could speak to with regards of putting a new engine (its not a L6) into a 240Z (such as what accompanying mods are eesential to get an engineering certificate) and who would be able to produce a certificate for the car once its completed? Havent engineered any of my cars before so dont really know any engineers who could do that. Any help appreciated.

Thats a very nice car right there mate - looks to be clean (especially for the price that you got it for) and you are lucky enough to have rollcage in already - even a halfcage should make a absolutely massive difference in handling I can imagine. Good luck with the car!

I spend 10 times less on my girl than my cars and I wouldnt say i spent that much on my cars either :/ As to my fund sources - I work ful time on every holiday and receive a scholarship from uni - still nowhere near enough for my cars and still in debts to my parents (hence nothing done to the Z in the past 6 month ) And yes $60 on fuel is a lot for me too!!!

Hmm - that technology sounds interesting but is nothing new - splitfire has a twin tip version of spark plug ... Might upgrade to these on my MR2 just for the hell of it - cant really see them improving the performance of road engine, race engines would benefit though...

I have an L24 block sititng here with worn out piston rings and was thinking that I might as well rebuild it myself just for fun. My question is what exactly should I replace on the engine? Still not sure if I want to rebuild it to standard specs or not. Are there any lightweight pisons available for the L24? If so - where can I source these? Also is it hard to rebuild a cylinder head?
