  1. Nizmozed thats what im after thanks for that!!!
  2. Nato, i am running a 3.7:1 lsd. I am willing to lose the lsd for lower ratio. Maybe i should try the 3.54:1. Anyone know how i can work out how many revs i will be doing with this ratio? Currently revs at about 2800 at 100 using supra 5 speed. Thanks for the input guys!
  3. Thanks Nato but 2 grand is out of my budget range. I have read on another forum that the r31 diff housing can have the au ford diff centres put into them. Don't know if this is true but i might check up on it.
  4. I take it you still have the 260z? I know you were looking to sell a little while back, change of heart? Yes Gav, i am going to keep it. I think its turning into a little investment. They are not getting any cheaper thats for sure.
  5. I am after a 3.36:1 R200 for my 260z. Thanks Graeme
  6. I will consider offers over 20 grand, but it will need to go to someone that will love it the way i have! I have seen that Puma before, looks very nice however i want the fun of the build process.
  7. Yes its a 2 seater and it has no rust. I have a plethora of pics here in my album that show the build and respray.
  8. Thinking about selling my pride and joy? Just wondering if there is interest out there? Blue 1977 260z Brand new 390hp hot cam crate motor, twin gas research. Upgraded brakes, adjustable suspension, 5 speed manual. Can send pics if interested. Fully engineered. Have wanted a caterham for years and am finally doing something about it. Cheers Graeme
  9. http://www.modern-motorsports.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=32&products_id=46 Try this, but before you buy make sure you can get the shafts. I hunted for a while to get mine and not cheap. Ross is short of them in his area too. PS my car is in his rides section also. Cheers Graeme Burke
  10. I just flipped the cage, as you say its only 2mm to stop any binding.
  11. By the look of my photos i need to get a hoist and clean up under my poor old Z.
  12. $420 but there was a stuff up with freight at his end and he refunded the $100 postage. Pricey i know but very well made and never had a breakage as far as i know. So $320 landed. Thats just for the flanges, you will need to source the cv shafts which are rare as hens teeth here. Add another $400 for the shafts and more in labour if you cant shorten them yourself. Easy to shorten them saves some cash anyway. Total cv shaft conversion cost me $800
  13. Is that the car with the rover v8 in it? The rims look familiar.
  14. Its a great conversion. Very easy to do too. Much less vibration from the rear end now!
  15. Hi all, finally got my 300zx turbo cv shafts fitted with adapters from Ross at Modern Motorsport. Wow he sells quality products. Very impressed indeed.
  16. I just fried my halfshaft uni's for the third time, so i am converting to CV shafts. Will let you know what i think when i finally get my billet flanges from Modern Motorsports.
  17. I know mine is a weekend warrior, but Shannons inspected the mods and the engineers cert. and we agreed on a value. Not many insurance companies will touch a modified car. I called JUSTCARS and the 260z wasnt even on their database. She assumed it was a grey import. Go with Shannons. Grae
  18. I used David Stannos. Carrum Downs. Very impressed with his professionlism. Highly recommended. Graeme
  19. Totally agree, i met Rob at he Nationals and was a very approachable. Great quality machining to boot. Must go and have a look at his factory.
  20. Rob! I have been wondering where you dissappeared to? Will come by when i am rolling again. (cv shaft conversion) Graeme
  21. No problem Gav, enjoy Ireland you lucky lucky bastard!!!!
  22. Gav240z, i am in Melbourne if you want to have a look at mine. Only problem is i have the uni shafts out of it and am converting to cv's. Nearly got all i need now.
  23. Got it this time Nato looks trick. As Craig said good to know we can get them.
  24. Sandown 1:34 with old 350 chev. Craig, do you want to sell your 3.36 diff? I am very interested!! Grae
  25. I whacked a small original spoiler on the back of my car and instantly the fume disappered. Try that, worked a treat for me. If you look closely you can see the rear black spoiler.
