  2. Ohhh if these reclined I would be all over them. Good luck with the sale.
  3. Whack some pictures up here first would be your best bet. Let the lovers of these cars be the first to bid. G
  4. I totally agree Peter, there is enough work in getting a RHD V8 Z approved let alone a LHD Z.
  5. Brief update everyone. We will be moving house in August so work has slowed. I dropped the RB in and conected up all the mounts and it fits well. After the move then I will get to work on her again. Cheers Graeme.
  6. I also have a 77, I think the chasis rails are larger in the later 260's. Graeme
  7. South East? Sounds close to me. Which suburb are you in mate? Graedat
  8. Blank made up and the dipstick moved over.
  9. Update on the engine today . I need to move the dipstick location and in most blocks there is a brass plug. Well my block doesn't have anything! So I drilled it out and machined up a blank as replacement.
  10. Man you have to be fast around here. If they are still available I will donate $100 to the website. G
  11. i am on 4 acres with farms around me.
  12. I will let you know when I have had another look at it.
  13. Actually Luvem, the wheel alignment computer has fried. I had a go at setting up the other day and the pc wouldnt boot.I had a look at it and its early 90s technology so I think it was only a matter of time before it fried. I will attempt to reinstall the software on a rainy day but it may end up in the bin.
  14. Well seeing I want to have a go at spraying the Z myself I was having a look at spray guns on Gumtree. I stumbled across a spray booth, its 7m long by 2m wide by 2.3m high with a large 3 phase fan. I called the guy who had it in his factory and it came with a compressor and many other spares 4 guns air line blah blah. We agreed to a price the only catch was that I had to remove it myself. Anyway with some modification widening and strengthening so I can fit a car in it I will have a beasty booth for a crazy cheap price. I plan on making it 4m wide and adding double doors to the front. It has glass in the roof and windows up both sides. I will lay the slab down for it in a few weeks. The first pic is the large induction section which sits at the back of the booth and the fan and flue sits on top.
  15. yeah that's right Luvem, the plate is just sitting on top without the bolts in.
  16. Small update. My sump arrived from Rob at R.I.P.S. High quality work that's for sure. Highly recommended.
  17. Received my engine and box on Monday. Very excited!
  18. Yes I did mate. It sounds amazing. What type of exhaust are you running and how loud is it?
  19. Thanks for the box info magnet. I think the best sounding Z I have heard is Ledgers car.
  20. Here is a few more pics of the stripping.
  21. Bloody thing pulls like a 14 year old with unlimited ADSL . What a pisser cant stop laughing, what a great analogy! Gee those cams are big. My engine will have baby 260 poncams. G.
  22. Ledge, what cams are you running? That engine sounds wild!
  23. Thanks for the comments guys. Are you going to use this kit http://mckinneymotorsports.com/prod_240+260+280Z+parts or build one yourself? I was looking at those mounts but might go the Castlemaine Rodshop mounts. Thanks Dat240z I have been studying the Hybridz Nissan RB forum, some guys there have had trouble with the speedo drive also. Dash out, I have to get to that heater core! Started the engine bay the other day.
  24. I have started the stripping process, paint stripper and elbow grease. I have unearthed a few little problem areas but she is pretty straight. Advertised the Chev and it sold within a week. I have sourced a RB26 and a 25 box with a few parts included, so that should be here any day now. Let the stripping continue.
  25. I want to make her all Nissan, straight six turbo all the way!
