Err... IMHO Not POR15 straight away. 1. Remove deadner. 2. Wire brush the thing like crazy to remove as much of the loose rust as possible. 3. Brush on some rust converter (Phosphoric Acid) & let work for 1hr, then wipe off with some thinners/Wax & Grease remover. 4. Then apply your POR15 or whathaveyou

I'd also start chipping the deadner off the floor & checking them for rust. That surface rust doesnt look good...

I've seen S13 stuff grafted onto a Stanza before, so I don' think it's unpossible...

No I don't think I'll be needing a template - just a tape measure to see how far they have to be moved.

Thanks to Dimitri I now have a pair of 225/50/17" tyres. I had them mounted on the Rota rim's, removed the rear springs on the Zed this morning (to get the car low enough) & trial fitted the wheels on the Zed to see how far I need to pump the rear guards... It doesn't look like I'll need to pump them out far - maybe 20mm at the most (after I roll the lip up/back). Pic is at the desired ride height - now to start playing around with pumping the guards...

Generally speaking Adam, a complete set of 40mm Webers aren't worth as much as a complete set of 45's. 'If' you can find a set of 45's, I reckon you'll have to add some cash to the deal if you swap the 40's... My 2c of course

You've gotta be joking... Your'll have a permanent farting sound out of your Zed if you fit that. Not to mention loss of performance & shocking drone as Mike said. 'Walker' do some nice free flowing mufflers that will give a nice note, no drone & better performance at a reasonable price. Also, on a fairly stock L6, you won't need to go over 2.5" system otherwise you'll loose power. If you want a big tip, get the ehaust shop to fir a nice big crome tip to the end of the muffler FWIW 'Cannon' mufflers look like sh*t.

For a good, torquey, reliable, Targa spec engine I'd budget 10k to have one built (no I am not joking!). Double that for a properly built 3.1ltr stroker.

First off, whats your budget for building the engine? If you don't have one, may I suggest you lay a budget out on paper. Secondly, what sort of driving will you be doing to warrent such HP/Trq figues?

Congrats! Doesn't look too bad But what's been done to the front indicator/park light assembly? That front spook is a BRE style item, but yes it looks out of place... Oh & it need's a manual conversion STAT!

Hi guys, I'm after a PAIR 2nd hand of 225/45 or 50 profile 17" tyres in Vic. None of the local tyre dealers have any 2nd handy's, & new one's are too expensive & I'd have to get them ordered in!
