    Bumper bars...

Front bumpers are the same - in shape & fitment anyway 2+2 REAR bumpers DON'T fit the rear of the 2-seaters (& vice-versa!) - different side mounts & width. Brand new F&R 2-seater bumpers were available late last year from the US & UK via eBay, but they are currently none listed atm... Edit, yes they are: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/DATSUN-240Z-240-Z-STAINLESS-STEEL-BUMPER-BUMPERS_W0QQitemZ230425976630QQcmdZViewItemQQptZMotors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories?hash=item35a6755f36 http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Datsun-240Z-240-Z-Bumper-Kit-New_W0QQitemZ200392588961QQcmdZViewItemQQptZMotors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories?hash=item2ea8543ea1
  2. Question - what is the reason for wanting them?
  3. If you want a spare engine, then go for it. However, if you want a turbo L-series, there's better ways to go about it...
  4. See you all there
  5. +1 on the Tridon T/stats - total garbage! Since your in Qld Steve, have you thought about running no thermostat at all? You simply remove the 'guts' of the old t/stat & retain the outer 'ring' of the s/stat (so that coolent is still pushed to the back of the head). This may help the engine running cooler from start-up. Also, I dare say your using a Eytholene Gycol based (green coloured) coolent? This stuff is absolutely horrible for thermo-effectciy of an engine. Backflush your cooling system, then add a bottle of Redline 'Water Wetter'. It's awesome stuff & I've never gone back to the horrible old Glycol based coolents...
  6. That's quite true Greg, but I suspect that's only for more modern cars. I'm not even sure who you would contact to have a 'run' made. Pilkingtons?
  7. Over the last couple of years finding 2-seater door glass full stop has become hard, Paul. Though you never know - you might stumble onto some NOS if your very very lucky...
  8. Ha. Good luck... Unscratched door glass is unobtainable.
  9. Yeah, the owner is on this forum.
  10. It's being held at Eastern Creek this year because of OP closing Anyone going? BenZed, are you competeing this year? http://superlap.com.au/
  11. Hrmm... You might have to go pay this car a visit Gav...
  12. Well... A few months(?) ago, Bruce had the Zed parked at work when his work's forklift must have go jelious of the Zed & decided to roll down the drive & crash into the DS door. SO Bruce purchased a infamious Rare Spares door skin & it was then up to myself to fit it. Surpriseingly it DID fit up 'OK' after about an hour of playing around adjusting it. The door frame also had a nice twist in it from the forklift, so it made for a whole new challenge... With more time (& more skill on my part!) I reckon I could have gotton it to fit perfectly. However time is not on my side atm, so it'll do. I also gave it a service & general tidy-up, ready for Tassie
  13. Similar. But the steel mount on the engine looks shorter. Here's a PS shot on a 240Z:
  14. Very long Day... Haven't you got new wheels to polish?
  15. Looks very clean
  16. Jeeze Mark, you took that back a fair way...
  17. Highly suspicious, but I'm with the Rev - let just see where this goes. (I do however, find it strange the 'previous, previous owner' wants the Zed destroyed. What rights does he have, to decide with whats to be done with the Zed? Very strange...).
  18. I believe so, but I have been known to be occasionally wrong on the rare occasion. Post a pic of the engine mounts & I'll be able to give a better answer.
  19. If you sell this, do you promise NOT to come back?!
  20. Looks Decent. 4.4 V8 means it's the P76 unit. I wonder how much rust it's hiding... And what the reserve is... Edit: '73 I wasn't aware RS30's were made in '73...
  21. They'd come close, but I doubt it'd be a 'neat' bolt up. I know VL Commo mounts, can be used to fit a RB into a Zed, but they do need modifiying slightly. I wouldnt bank on the CRS, RB Into 240Z mounts working in the C210 though.
  22. Hrmmm... Unpleasant, but I have fixed worse. Slam panel area shouldn't be too difficult, though. We require photos of the Rad support panel!
  23. BUMP. There is actually quite a lot of us on FB, so feel free to join/add 'friends'!
  24. Mick (zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzed) was out for a pedal on his Autocycle yesterday, when some kunckle-dragging, half-blind neandathal decided to not give way. So now Mick is currently in Hospital with a broken leg! So GET WELL SOON MATE! (you have a Zed to build!)
