After a 6 week wait I've finally got my new 17" ROH wheels. 8.5 inch for the front and 9.5 inch at rear to be mounted with 225 front and 255 at rear. Looking forward to picking up the freshly painted ZG flares this coming week to fit all that rubber under. Hopefully they'll be on the car by next week! Sulio

Evan, If you end up getting yourself a set of 3 peice wheels it will cost you about $150 per wheel to get outer sections made up if you want them wider for flares. Thats assuming the wheel sits nicely on the inside and does'nt hit the suspension perch. I think the best chance you'll have is finding something like a Simmons wheel if your after someting 2nd hand but be prepared to wait as I did but I ran out of patience. Good luck! Sulio

I think you could run them on a 240/260 with a 10mm spacer which would cost about 5-10 bux each. Don't even think about flares with them though, just too narrow and offset way off what you need. Evan I'm not sure but I think they are one piece cast alloy wheels and the alan key bolts are just show. Sulio

Good work Jimbo. I've heard this fix by some of the US guys with good success and like you said people drive around with huge towbars and don't get hassled so why would you. I found a significant improvemnt after the addition of a "dump pipe" on the tip. My exhaust is 2.5" with a tip a little bigger than that that points down. I've had a breif discussion with Gav about changing to rear discs. I believe the old Skyline R30 rear end is almost a direct bolt on to the 240/260 rear end. Has anybody got any pics or links to the parts needed? Apart from the caliper and disc I believe there is an "adapting plate" of some sort needed!? and I believe this is all that is needed!? Using the 300zx front brakes, can they be fitted to maintain 4 stud pattern? What parts needed! I believe they come in alloy as well as heavy steel sets!? If this is so which 300's had the alloy brakes? Just started searching for info on this one so it's all a big mystery. any input one be appreciated seeing I could most likely get these bits through a friend and stick em in the shed til after the L28 is done if I ever pick one up! :? oh and if you go for the option of glueing new vynil in place be sure to buy the thinner light weight vynil you can get from an upholsterer just so it sticks better. You could cheat and vynil paint it black but thats assuming your current lining is not the cloth type as my 240 has! Mine was cloth so I removed it and got the vynil in place instead, much prefer it and looks new again.

I believe radiators from the 260 auto's hang down a little lower but then again that might just have been a one off with a parts 2+2 car I had.

hey Callum, good to see your pics. I've got an aftermarket woodgrain wheel with alloy center. I beleive they sell for about $250. Looks very nice but I noticed that during the Arthuers Seat cruise my hands had a little bit of sweat on them whilst gunning it uphill through the tight and windy corners. I found that the steering wheel got a little slippery and for practical purposes a rubber or vinyl steering wheel might work a little better. Cheers Sulio

Vynil paint or dye is ok for panels but I would'nt recommend it for seats. That would be a little tacky and it would come off once your ass hits the seat a few times. JP240 just clean up the plastics with clean soapy water and let them dry thoroughly then paint. Be sure to let the first coat dry well before you apply the second. Do not try and complete the area with one coat seeing it will run, loose grain detail in the vynil and could even get ripples if it's real thick and the top drys quicker than the paint underneath. Hi Guys, We've decided it would be a good time to have another BBQ and get together on Sunday 13th November. Our first meeting was at ZR240's factory which proved quite popular so lets give that another go seeing Ash has been kind enough to offer the location once again. Hi Gav, yer I thought he meant just a hole but I am under the impression that welding in a piece of metal to that hole would be very difficult to do right and keep the correct curviture and no ripples in the roof assuming you did'nt go crazy with bog. My uneducated guess was that it would call for a new roof skin. Having said that if funds were limited rather than getting a replacemnt glass the old school vynil sunroof could be an option. Anyway moving on I noticed on another thread JP240Z is on a tight budget so I would recommend going down to Zshop in Glen Iris, I was there today and I noticed they have and old 240 parts car sitting outside with a sunroof, I'm sure you could get that cheap. Failing that just go to some junk yards and look for a second hand sunroofs to suit the dimensions your looking for. Cheers Sulio

I met a fella in Oakleigh that just bought a 75 260 2 seater and it had the brackets so they must be around.

Lynton is right if you've got the funds I would get a new roof. Unstitching the old one would be a pain. Might even be easier to just cut it at the pillars and weld in a new complete roof but thats just a guess on my part, because I think ZR240 just did that. Anyway anything you could do to close up the hole would certainly help with value. Most people that really like these cars know that they did'nt come out with sunroof. I'm one of those that see it as a "bastardization" of the car. I know it can be costly to repair so rather than putting in a glass sunroof I would opt for the black vynyl square sunroof that pulls back. I don't know much about them but i think they look the part. good luck whatever your choice sulio

I discussed this one with Mike on the phone. I've got a couple of parts to check out at Z Shop this Saturday so I'll check there and I'm going to see Warren from Zworx this Sunday. If neither of these guys can source these brackets then my guess is it would be quite hard tracking one down in Australia. Cheers Sulio
