  1. Hi Nate, Yer gotta wait about 5-6 weeks for the wheels to be finished so I'll mount the flares as soon as I get wheels. Check out the car below with the 17 and ZG flares. I like the green.
  2. What are you going to get for your Z when time comes Zedophile?
  3. Done. I bought 3 piece ROH Venturo wheels in 17 inch. I saw them in the shop and thought they looked great! 17x8.5 (-6 offset) for front and 17x9.5 (-19 offset) at the back. 5-6 weeks to be made. I think suitable tyres will be 225x45 front tyres & 255x40 rears. Can't wait to see 17 inch wheels with a deep dish and ZG flares on the car! Time to send the flares off to be painted black. Still not sure of wether to paint them gloss black or matt black!? Sulio

    Roll cages

Costa has got an allloy half cage. Very neat. He got it made in alloy when it was still legal, ie according to CAMS. Go to the CAMS website for regulations and contacts that are accredited to make them. I think Costa paid $1800 for his, made by a bloke who makes them for people like John Bowe.
  5. Yer very neat. Some serously meaty tyres too. Those mirrors look quite good too!
  6. I think this 240 has been painted in the bmw colour. http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=104662&page=1&pp=25
  7. I got a price of $235 for the 16x8 superlites but I think if you shop around you might be able to do a little better than that. These are due out late Nov. I stuck my ZG flares on with masking tape to get an idea of how wide I can go. Looking at the front the 16x8 might not fill it out unless the offset is a crazy negative value of about -20 for the front to look right. A lot of the Watanabes you see with the ZG look are 16x8.5 offset -6 (or 16x9, -13) at the front, and 16x9.5 with -19 at the back. Bit of a shame those Wats would prolly set you back around AUD$3000. Another option is to find a local 3 piece rim made to the exact offset mentioned above. I shopped around and found that I could get an ROH VENTURO rim in 16x9.0 & 16x9.5 made up for $410.00 per wheel usual price is $475.00. The attraction of the 3 piece is that you can always get the outer section redone if you ever want to go back to wheels that fit the stock guards at a cost of about AUD$130 per wheel. 8. The response I got from my e-mail enquiry; To Sulio Thankyou for your email Yes we are releasing a 16 x 8 Superlite sometime in Nov / Dec it would roughly be around the 4 Negative offset at this stage. As for the 16 x 10 we are not sure when we will start to make may still be atleast 12 months. Thanks Adam Kipling (Sales Representative) Man 12 months is too long to wait. C'mon fellas we gotta start hassling these guys with e-mails so they move this date forward.
  9. 16x8 superlites are about to be released but they could'nt give me any list prices as to the fact that they are forced to sell via their distributors. I think if a few of us e-mail them with enquiries we can move the date along closer for the 16x10 to be manufactured. I have followed my phone enquiry with an e-mail questioning all of the above including offset availabilities. 10. Theres no chance I would get into a zed with a driver that has intentions of going over 200. Man these cars are nice but it's an old car and 300k/hr is the sort of thing exotic cars do! I reckon my Z would take flight if it was ever to reach that sort of speed! hehe Sulio
  11. I read an old artical yesterday on the 240 having a "theoretical" top speed of 180 miles an hour however the true top speed was 125 M/hour. I'm sure with higher speeds that would be brought down exponentially. Even 125 M/h sounds very high!?? What is the highest top speed any of you guys have reached in your z? Sulio
  12. I have been on the phone to Performance wheels today regarding options for the 240/260. Information fresh off the press, they are just about to release a 16x8 superlite to suit the s30, as for 16x10 this will be coming at some point next year which is not too far off. Also on the books for next year is Superlites to be made in 17 inch. Start saving fellas this sounds like a great alternative to Wats. I'll be going the 16x8 & 16x10 combo personally. Sulio
  13. Sorry rod I have'nt any pics but I'm sure you won't have too much trouble just give it a go. Sulio
  14. Hi Bomberman, Geez I must agree with the guys its a shame to see it hacked up but at least this guy did'nt do a half assed job. Funny thing is you were worried about getting a scratch on the car, an extreme sort of irony on this one! hehe On a serious note it would be a good idea to get in touch with the owner for those that are in need of spares for example rear lights front panels quite possibly the hatch. I saw this car many times before it was bastardised and it was in tip top shape. Perhaps you could chime in here BM with anything you might know as to what this fella did with these bits n peices!? Is the car in Vic? Oh and by the way hows your driving life minus the Z been? Cheers Sulio
  15. I have. I made a tin bracket for the actuator. It was a bit tight but just took a little patience. Once installed I got the wiring connected to an alarm I later installed and I use this alarm remote to lock and unlock the car. Works great, when the alarm is armed the car locks and vice versa. Sulio
  16. I like the BMW colour. However the original green would look nice with a mustard coloured interior and I like skyblue with light cream interior. Sulio Where are the pics of progress NAte?
  17. Is that rim bolted on with standard suspension, ie no coil overs???
  18. hmmm...zedophile you should try those on the Z and go for that 4WD look S30!

    vicz catch up

I'm good for any Friday Night!
  20. No good Ash. In 16 they only make them 10 inch wide. I could get them narrowed but this is illegal and I've been tol dangerous. It's a shame coz 16's would have looked great. So the option is going back to 15 inch diameter wheels which they can supply in 8 inch and also 10 inch wide, which would be a good combination for a 225x55 tyre for the front 8 inch rim and 245x50 for the rear 10 inch rim. Only remaining issue is if the stretch on the 245 on 10 inch wide is too much?? Looking at the link Gav provided above re the Watanabe/Flare combo, the guy had a few issues getting 245 on the 9.5 inch wide wats but then again they are 16 inch diameter wats!!! So when can we pick up our flares Ash!?   Sulio
  21. What do you guys think about the look of 16x10 challengers at the rear and 15x8 challengers at the front with flares of course!? Then again the other choice being 15x10 rear and 15x8 at the front! Sulio
  22. Ah so thats what it is. Sounds like your on the money Matt. From the way the real at the back sits I would say it definately needs this pocket, however I am not going to make any changes. Its a bit of a shame because I really liked the way these later model belts work. I'll take a pic and post what we've been talking about. I should have just gone out and bought the same as Warrens. I'll do that now! Anyways, I've put these ones up for sale in our classifieds. Thanks Matt. Cheers Sulio
  23. It's the only reason I see why these belts don't fit. I know that Nate had this type of seat belt in his 76 2 seater and they fit. I'll have to get a closer look at a later car in that section of the floor. Sulio
  24. Good link Gav. Very informative photos. I wonder how wide the tyres are? I've done some investigating and PERFORMANCE offer the challenger in 10 inch wide only for the 16 inch rim. I was hoping they would take a custom order for 8.5 inch wheels for the two on the front. 10 inch would be fine at the back but the front would be very heavy for a road vehicle. By the way Ash as we discussed on the phone I am interested in buying a set of flares should you decide to start making them. Sulio
  25. Man those challengers look awsome with flares. Thats it I'm gonna get em and go the flares option!!!!!!!! Sulio
