They're both pretty neat convertables. When I win lotto I'll have to add one of those convertables to my collection of Datsuns. :wink: Hmmm...I reckon the 2+2 looks pretty good as a convertable and you could fit the extra people in the back to make a great cruiser! I personally find the curve of the roof adds quite a bit to the overall look of the S30 however if Japan had of brought out these cars as convertables I think they would have been a big hit. The roadster would have had a tough younger sister to fill the market with at the time! Oooh...MGB fans would have really hated that! Cheers Sulio

That would be an interesting car to see. I'm not a big fan of those corvette lights however a convertable zed is always interesting. Was the roof down? I've seen a green convertable Z with the roof up and the roof was a little dodgey looking when up. Cheers Sulio

I just bought a set of black reclinable sports seats. I bought them from a company called MONSTA PERFORMANCE. Refer to photo below. I'll post more pics once they're on the car. Well I now have my old seats which were recovered about two years ago to original style and vinyl grain. They are still in great condition so if anybody needs to replace their seats with the original look, make me an offer!!! I'll post pics in classified section as soon as I find some photo's. In regards to the new sport seats I have just bought, I paid $470.00 a set. If any members would like a set for that price, for a short period of time I might be able to order a set for you. I'm hoping to have em in the car before next cruise down the Great Ocean Road this Saturday!

hmmm...Gav I remember you once mentioned you saw an L28ET at a wrecking yard!? From my understanding the only way to get one with all the right gear is from an imported car? If you've got a P90 head, F54 block and flat tops can you just add a turbo to that set up? Can someone explain the best way to go about the turbo set up for an L28 in Australia. So how did you come across your motor Helix12? Looking at some other forums I've noticed that there seem to be quite a bit of the L28ET 's in US wrecking yards. If this is the case how expensive would it be to ship one of these over to Australia? What about Japan, are they just about extinct there or plentiful? Sorry about all the questions guys but you've got me thinking about this set up because the time is nearing for me to do some work to my car engine wise.

Hi Warren, Not sure if this guys still running his shop since last time I was there he was thinking of leasing the building out to another beater and retiring but give him a go seeing I got my car painted there in two pack for $2500 including repairs. The business name is PLASTIC FANTASTIC, (he does alot of plastic and fibreglass bumber/spoiler repairs too). Ask for Paul ph.03 9364 1755. Last time I was there he had a rust free 240 that was about to be sprayed. He bought the car ages ago and it's just been sitting in there. Ask about it if you do call him and update us on that one! If it's a simple rebuild I recommend Zworx but for some of the wilder stuff you will need specialists as Zworx isn't really set up with all the machining equipment. These guys restore chrome bars. I spoke to Mick Simpson regarding special rates for VICZCAR members. They will offer a 10% discount to our members on straightening and chroming 240z bars. I will be taking my front bar to them in the near future. Please post any feedback if anybody else use these guys. Anybody read the artical on the NDSOC cruise covering the Targa Tas Route? Well for those that did'nt there are also some pictures of Dales poor 240 on it's side after a collision into a cutting on the first leg. I spoke to Dale at the Nationals and he said he's bought the car back from the insurance company and it will be back on the road in good time.
