I would like to recommend Pedders in Bentleigh. After not having much luck with huge vise grips and other devices on my upper gland nut for my 240z front strut. My mum took my strut down to Pedders in Bentleigh while I was at work(thanks mum). They undid the nut free of charge and also threw in a few hex style upper gland nuts for free aswell. However these won't work with my Tokico's. I've had a couple of friends go there before and I've also been to the Hawthorn one for a wheel alignment when I was going to Swinburne University. Both places were really helpfull and did a good job. So I'd recommend Pedders for expert advice with no bull LMAO :twisted: .

I noticed today we had a member join net288 and was very suspicious when I saw his webpage was an online casino. He also posted a random comment which made no sense. I instantly deleted his account and post. If anyone see's this kind of thing can they let me know asap. I have a feeling as our site grows and we get more and more traffic we will unfortunately become a target for unwanted spam and abuse. I guess one of the downsides to being a popular forum Users IP address appeared to be an overseas one. :roll:

I think it's a bit of a shame really. Your 260z was in very nice condition and very original now it's been what I'd call molested. Sure it looks nice but I would have preferred to have seen it done to a less nice Z. Oh well who am I to complain. :roll: Good to see your interested in Z cars again.

I noticed nobody has offered to help and I can't because my 240z does not share the same wiring set up. I know we have a member under the name of Lynton with a very original 260z 2+2 in the same shade of blue as yours from the looks of it. Perhaps try sending him an email I think his is a 75 mdl from memory.

Hey Zeddophile, Can you show me what a pin pinch looks like? I have no idea what it is and I don't think I have one. Are they cheap to buy? I'd really appreciate it if I could get those hexagonal nuts off you would save me a billion future headaches.

Hey Ash I have a few spares since the Tokico's I bought came with 4. Unfortunately only two are the non-round style. The rest are all round and on my car so far the front two are circular not sure about the back yet though. I tried locking it upside down in a vise and turning it but no luck she's done up real tight. I got Costa to undo the last one and he said someone did them up too tightly. So I guess these are the same problem. I'm going to take it to pedders from the look of things and get them to undo it but I'd liek to replace it with the hex style nuts. Does anyone have some spare??? :wink:

The upper gland nuts

Hey guys need a little help with getting my Tokico's in. The old Koni's have a circular upper gland nut and they have been done up really tight. I don't have the correct tool for these circular ones so I am wondering if anyone knows where I can get one? I'm also wondering if anyone has some spare hexagonal ones I can replace these circular ones with. I have two hex style ones and two circular ones. I'll attach a picture so everyone knows what I'm on about.

I don't plan on breaking the law too much LOL.

Hi Nick I'm interested in the answer also. I think Zedrally(MIKE) might be able to point you in the right direction. There is also a guy on classiczcars.com who races frequently with a turbo L28 in his 260z can't recall his login name right at the moment. I think when it comes to turbo classes the Z isn't as competitive and that's why most go with the l28 and tripples. I will also ask my friend Costa who has had a fair amount of involvement with racing etc.. See what I can find.

You should speak to Nigel Nr240 see if he can get the details on the guy who fabricated his doors. I'll definately use him after seeing the quality of Nigel's car.
