MATTY Posted October 18, 2012 Posted October 18, 2012 In my 260 ive got the auto centre console but its had a manual conversion done (280zx box) and what im wanting to know is there any differences between the 2 seater and 2+2 manual centre consoles in terms of lenghts and mounting points? ive done a bit of searching on the fourm but i cant seem to find exactly what im looking for. As ive considered trying to repair my console as it has a few cracks here and there but the passenger side part is pretty warped (from excessive heat id assume?) so i figured if would be worth finding a second hand 2+2 console if it would fit. Sirpent Posted October 18, 2012 Posted October 18, 2012 Matty They are easy to plastic weld, dont try glue or fiber glass as it wont work long term. The warpage is an easy fix, take a heat gun or even a powerful hair dryer, heat from the inside of the console Take two strips of wood once the plastic become maluable from the heating slide one along the inside the other along the outside and use a few small clamps to compress the plastic between them straight. After a minute the plastic will set again, remove clamps, fixed Repeat process if required until desired effect is achieved. Cheers John Quote

gilltech Posted October 20, 2012 Posted October 20, 2012 The 2-seat & 2+2 consoles are the same, except the 2+2 has the ashtray in back whereas the 2-seat deletes the ashtray & has a clip-in blanking panel instead. Quote
