stony Posted August 30, 2012 Posted August 30, 2012 Hey guys came across this site and thought i'd say hi. i have seen a couple userIDs i recognize from HYBRIDZ. Im coming very close to finishing up version 3 of my z. i believe i was one a the very first RB26 conversions in the states. I built it originally in japan and brought it back with me in dec 1999. version one was a stock l28 gnose. After teh first body restore i swapped in the rb26 which was basically stock but was powerful enough to destroy the rear end. after allot of rearend mods and destroyed parts i decide to back-half the car and hopefully this summer will be done and getting out to the track. anyways looks like a cool site here are some pics. chris240 Posted September 1, 2012 Posted September 1, 2012 Welcome Stony Arrrrrr tell me those alaskan number plates / registration plates are purely cosmetic and that the zed isnt a regular at your local Mcdonalds drive-thru Quote
NZeder Posted September 2, 2012 Posted September 2, 2012 Late welcome from me, but welcome none the same Stony does your car still run the z31 front struts? I recall reading about that on hybridz. You had to use the z31 steering arms in the end if I recall. I am thinking about it as an option to get the 100mm caliper spacing but running the z31 steering arms might make tie rod to close to the rotor setup I am going to run. Making a custom steering arm is not out of the question mind you. How was the caster and camber are installing the z31 struts? Cheers Mike Quote
