Gordo Posted August 21, 2012 Posted August 21, 2012 Hi Guys the msca are running there next sprint round at PI on the 16th of September . My mail is the MG car club are making it a round of there championship and are expecting 40 to 50 extra cars. They are capping the event at 160 cars, that's right 160 cars. You don't need to be a rocket scientist to work out how the day will turn out. They will be stretched to the limit. Could put a few people off entering. But I'm a PI junky. Carnt get enough. See you there. Quote
260DET Posted August 22, 2012 Posted August 22, 2012 Last DatNats sprints there the scrutineering on the day took forever, it's pretty crazy that half a track day should be spent waiting for that. Is it still the same? Quote
Gordo Posted August 22, 2012 Author Posted August 22, 2012 Up to 100 cars is ok for the msca, more than that it's starting to stretch the frendship. Everyone starts to get a bit stressed. All it takes is one or two car recoverys with the tow truck to slow the day right down. Quote
luvemfast Posted August 22, 2012 Posted August 22, 2012 Yeah, once I saw the amount of expectant entries. I was put off. Aannnddd, there's another one in November anyway Quote
Gordo Posted August 22, 2012 Author Posted August 22, 2012 The one in November Is going to have a passenger session, might have to auction off the passenger seat. Lol. Quote
Agno Posted August 22, 2012 Posted August 22, 2012 I'll start the bidding at a very reasonable $5 Quote
Gordo Posted September 4, 2012 Author Posted September 4, 2012 Steve (chèv z) I see you have entered and GV260. Go the Zeds . Quote
chev z Posted September 5, 2012 Posted September 5, 2012 Yep i have entered and a mate with a MG is also making the trip. hopefully I won't holdup procedings with the need of a tow truck again. Quote

ITOW4U Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 Karyn also had a go on Sunday in a "borrowed car" for the day although not a Zed she still had fun and cracked that 'elusive' 2min barrier..... I didnt make it along for this one as was doing recovery at Sandown for the V8Supertaxi's but am back for the November round. Quote
Gordo Posted September 17, 2012 Author Posted September 17, 2012 Hi Sean, yer Karyn went really well, a 1.57 was a great time for the first time in that car at PI. And there is a nice Photo of you in the truck in Sundays Herald Sun. Are you going up to Deca in two weeks? Quote

I was absolutely amazed at how many comments I have had regarding the photo from both people that have an interest in motor racing and even those who don't...... was some great exposure. Cheers Sean Quote
