260DET Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 Seeing that there are some hot Zeds around here it seems like it would be a good idea to have their dyno sheets al in one place. But where? I now have a reasonable one to put up Quote
C.A.R. Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 I'm not a fan of this idea Richard - last time this happened on Ozdat a HUGE argument ensued over wanking rights... Quote
Moderators Zedman240® Posted January 14, 2012 Moderators Posted January 14, 2012 I think we have a thread with "Post best lap times / Kw's" or something along those lines? Quote
260DET Posted January 14, 2012 Author Posted January 14, 2012 By 'hot Zeds' I was thinking of race or fast street Zeds, not kiddy dyno queens or drag racers where maximum rules. So I was interested in comparing mine with say turbo L's, RB's etc, particularly in their top 3000rpm power spread which with mine is 4 to 7000rpm. Which in my experience is what counts for a circuit engine. So an intelligent discussion, I for one am well over thinking that the top line means much at all around a circuit. But if noone is interested or if it would cause angst then...................... Quote
620Z Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 In my experience all dyno's vary in their measurement of Klw's or Bhp. So comparing them for peak power can be misleading. But torque or power curve would obviously look ok. Cheers Quote
peter mc Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 i don't mind showing mine i did it a wile back and there was no problem Quote
DTF260 Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 I have a sheet from when my stroker was built also Quote
roastbeef Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 My dyno sheet isnt overly exciting, but the next time I am back in sydney I can upload the dynos from a couple of SWR engines. * an east african safari Z L26 with billet crank. * and an engine built for the immaculate (silver with orange stripes) 'WRC' plated Z From memory there isnt too much excitement as far as peak power goes, but quite a difference in how they both achieve it.
